How are the door tops curved? Be amazing if the round one was on a swivel :D Very nice :thumb: The curved doors, I machine the top and bottom rails out of solid timber on the cnc. Then groove and tennon square stiles onto the curved rails which then I shapes by hand with curved hand planes and finish with orbital sanders. All finish is by feel and eye due to the curves. A typical oak kitchen, how will you finish it off?
Satin laquer(60%) sheen Matt laquer Tinted laquers(any colour) Bleach it with white stain, rag it off so it stays in the grain then laquer over. Laquer with Patine over the top(Patine like A dark brown think stain that is sprayed onto the faces/lines Cracks/joins etc then waxed off the face to leave it in the joints to give an antiques effect etc. cheers Chris |
