Daz if the hid lights say they are over 2000lumens with no headlight wash they fail but if not pass and advise make sure the tester is aware of this. There is no way the tester will know if they are over 2000lumens unless it says on headlights etc.

This is what its like in France and other parts of EU.

You need to get a special cert to modify the car from standard, time we left the EU , its screwed anyway, old cars are better !!! as they cant enforce the laws

I'd like to see them try and enforce a no mods policy, what's that going to do for the economy...less fuel burned...less tax produced...no money spent on tuning...companies go out of business, staff out of jobs.

I can picture all the car forums planning slow drives on Britains motorways when that becomes law.

I work with a guy from France and he curses in multiple languages about my ability to mod my car , with relatively no problems, he cant even change the air filter !!

Soon we will be the same , so buy an old import !!! LOL

The law changed on the 1st of jan this year and cars do have to have a cat fitted by law, as long as it has at least one cat it will pass, even if others have been removed!
i would have not failed your car!

I completely disagree with you. I have never had a cat on my car and it ALWAYS passes emission testing!
