lovely colour...looks a bit high for the Cup suspension pack though?

Martyn19 06 February 2012 05:09 PM

Im sure my last one was the same. One of the springs broke and spat a coil out the back of the car so i put some eibachs on and it was much better after that :)

These ones seem fine so far

trails 08 February 2012 01:35 PM

acstua 08 February 2012 07:30 PM

oddly im lookin at 182's as something abit cheaper to run instead of teh scoob (and clear the small loan i have)
need to save some money for a few years :/

hoping putting aside 350-400 a year for servicing should cover it etc?

also hoping they arent too small for 6foot3 of me :d

Seen your thread on cliosport.

That should easily cover the servicing for a year. I was around £500 for the cambelt to be changed on my old 182 but that's only every 5 years or 36k miles.

The drivers seat sits a bit higher than the scoobs. Im almost 6ft i think :wonder: and i sometimes feel a bit high up in it.

Great cars tho

acstua 08 February 2012 07:41 PM

will try and get a go in one at some point, i reckon im gonna sell im in a month or two so still looking at options :) but def on my possible list atm

Martyn19 08 February 2012 07:45 PM

Good luck with the search :)

trails 12 February 2012 11:08 AM

viewed the car yesterday; 77k very very clean; belts done...just waiting for confimration of when they were done.

Really lumpy start up; whole car shook now I know they are rough idle and am wondering if this could be down to how cold it was yesterday. Or I'm being paranoid.

Clutch was quite fierce biting point towards the top quarter of travel too...any comments from 182 owners?

ian

x2! They seem an ideal daily driver for someone who still enjoys driving. I am hoping to start looking next months for a 182 around c.£2k. Especially with cruise control too!

Martyn19 24 February 2012 08:46 PM

Said bye to mine this afternoon. Need find another daily driver now but a cheap one

Oh yeah even running it on vpower, always averaged around 33mpg in it. Sold it for funds towards buying a house so need save and get a cheap ****ter for work now haha :(

J4CKO 25 February 2012 06:01 PM

I really wanted one of these, love the way they look but just didn't get on with it.

Adam-M 25 February 2012 06:09 PM

That colour looks stunning on the 197. Nice wee car mate.

trails 14 March 2012 06:36 PM

well had it a few weeks now and completed a number of cosmetic mods already, a few more still to go though. Great little thing to drive, I love it. Need to sort the speakers out too; sounds like its playing underwater!

Martyn19 14 March 2012 07:49 PM

Tidy. If it was mine i would take off the tints and get the diamonds on the wheels silver again :)

Speakers are pants but saying that the ones in my impreza are pretty crap to

stilover 14 March 2012 09:00 PM

Just wait for the summer. You'll notice the A/C is Sh!te too.

Martyn19 14 March 2012 09:52 PM

haha, I never use a/c prefer to open a window

trails 14 March 2012 10:13 PM

open window for me too...i didn't notice the air con had run out in my last car until winter :D

Always run privacy glass, its like driving a goldfish bowl otherwise...all the silver bits are going black :p

Martyn19 15 March 2012 09:09 PM

Carbon ;)

I had carbon exhaust surrounds on my orange one, cost like £60 for the pair

trails 17 March 2012 06:03 PM

carbon...but that stuff gets costly, especially if you start on the interior too :D
