Mods posting threads as members then when they get the p1ss ripped out of them using there mod status to dish out punishment to those that have been less than flattering.

Protecting the untouchables, deleteing posts and threads left right and centre because they are edgy none pc and mildly insulting.

It's the internet stop taking it so seriously, light hearted banter and name calling and general abuse are all part and parcel and the reason many come on just for a laugh.

PH is overall a good forum but some of the mods and the politics section have much to leave desired. I've been banned twice now and soon going for me trio.

Oh and there are a lot of middle class mummy boys on there.

Anything with any kind of connection to Clarkson is best avoided like the plague!

I'm not sure on the ins and outs, but from what I gather, it's a site (totally non affiliated with PH) set up by a few ex PH members who were sick of all the behaviour from mods and snotty nosed mummies boys who wanted there way all the time.

It is well moderated, but it's more fun, you can all have a laugh and be a bit naughty without people causing a massive fuss.

They don't even mention the place on PH, if you do, it seems you get banned. How ironic!! Lol!!

Haven't been on PH much.

As far as SN's concerned, it's been a tad quiet of late which is a shame. There does seem to be an intense rivalry (or is it just "intense dislike"?!) between a few members, which can cause threads to spiral out of control like a Stuka after an encounter with a Spitfire!

Other than that, some pretty decent peeps still on SN and I'd wouldn't be on here myself if I didn't like it. It's fun to chat with petrol heads from around the UK and further afield about motors, what's going on in the world and babes! ;)

Agree that we should avoid putting newbies off by mocking grammar etc. Exception made for knobs that come on the site simply to say Scoobs are pish! :D

Oh, I should mention, it's a small site compared to PH, and the traffic isn't mega, but they do a few fun things like photo of the month competition, and pass the camera, or whatever it's called.

That's true about the newbies. I got ribbed a bit to start, but being a lady a got let off.
That was about when requests for loaves and custard started. Something I didn't know about.

The 'in' jokes can sometimes be a problem for newbies too, and I think it does put them off, but that's part of the fun of being a long standing forum member, you get along with people and have fun.
It is quiet here lately, not sure what the reasons are, but it could take forever to figure that out!

What can I say, I have a certain amount of drivel that needs to come out and there aren't enough threads and posts to contain it all on here, don't get me wrong I feel a certain obligation to SN as its been great over the years so not migrating to PH, its just on PH there is more to go at, kind of breaks down like this,

SN Computer forum, quick look if anything has appeared in Other Marques (usually just arguments about the TTRS) then a quick look in NSR, dont go in general as its about Sccobs and I havent got one, then nip over to PH and go in General Gassing, quick look on Retro Rides in Readers Ride but never really post.

NSR is good for esoteric questions, PH General Gassing for motoring related.

Anyway it may just be a different funnier J4CKO over there :D

I dont think this place is that bad generally but as said before the people who rip people apart because they spelt somthing wrong our used a word in the wrong context does get a little boring, no one is perfect and as long as you understand what has been typed then it shouldn't really matter.

I do think some people use this as a cover for some of their own insecurities too...

And some of the mods need to get a life especially Ali-B :D

I used to post in here quite a bit, it seemed to be over moderated (not trying to troll or annoy anyone) so it was easier to go over to PH as well as another board I use.
PH does have a fair few ring pieces that like to pull everyone up on their spelling and the moral police that just say what they think they should say rather than have an actual opinion but that seems to have calmed down a bit.
I remember posting a picture of my M3 and on came some tool slating my alloys, exhaust and my number plate. I take feedback positive or negative but some of them just seem to want to put things down.

As i've said too many mummy boys on PH and apparently they eat babies!

Snobbery at laughable levels.

And no reason for the snobbery in most cases!! Not that snobbery is acceptable any time.
