Had to blow the dust off this thread !!

Great 3 pts for Fulham last night :thumb:

When I saw Spearings tackle "live" not the replays, I immediately thought he'll get sent off for that, but he shouldn't be, Dembele was the one who was late to the ball and he was coming from the blind side hardly a head on challenge, thought the lad was unlucky to get a red.

Cracking game to watch all the same, any one else noticed how Suarez has this thing when he argues with officials, he starts eating his fingers like a demented rabbit !

pauld37 06 December 2011 05:51 PM

Racism and now this, what a disgrace! :Whatever_

Funkii Munkii 08 December 2011 02:55 PM

Sorry to hear you're redundant Dave :(

Good to have you back in here though it's been a bit quiet of late, thankfully United have given people reason to post again ;)

davegtt 08 December 2011 05:34 PM

Cheers, it was inevitable tbh so was a little prepared for it, more disgusted that after 15 years service Im only entitled to 5k! I will earn more in my 12 weeks notice on garden leave lol.

I see its been quiet, last night was a good night for football :lol1:

davegtt 13 December 2011 11:26 PM

:luxhello: Hope Anfields ready for the mighty Blues

FlightMan 20 December 2011 08:17 PM

8 fecking matches!

WTF did he call him to warrant 8 matches? Be interesting to see what Terry gets. Let me see, a suspended sentence and a fine maybe?

Good chance for Carroll now, make or break time for him I think.

chocolate_o_brian 20 December 2011 08:41 PM

If indeed Suarez was guilty (which by looks of it he was proven to be) should he not theoretically be sacked, i.e. he has committed gross misconduct which in any other line of work is a sackable offence??

Terry next - he's a joke too and should not be wearing the England armband!

addi monster 20 December 2011 09:07 PM

8 matches  WTF?? people get 3 match bans for lunging in and breaking legs, 8 matches for calling the little sh1t what he is,. is it me or is this a which hunt,.

f1_fan 20 December 2011 09:42 PM

Wouldn't have happened had he played for any other club. Ridiculous quite frankly.

NAF 20 December 2011 09:57 PM

This is very far from over

Seems like LFC are going to drag this one through the courts

I would love to know where the evidence was to convict Suarez ?

Did the FA convict him on the word of Evra alone ?

Can you imagine how many technicians Sky sports would have had pouring over the match footage / sound files trying their utmost to find the slightest thing that they could sensationally broadcast over and over again??

Not a peep from them ...

If I was John Terry I'd be rightly $hittin myself lol

Apparently so yes! An utter farce, but no more than you would expect these days!

Indeed - it would seem he is going to be made a very big example of.

Read the report guys, you'll believe I'm biased because I support United, I'll start with facts then give my opinion

Facts

Suarez admited using a certain word which in Uruguay is not considered offensive, more a term of endearment, the word apparently is "Negrita" I dont speak Spanish but guess it is similar to the Portuguese Little Negro.

Evra stated to the commission that he was called this word 10 times or more but, he did not consider Suarez to be a Racist, he just used Racist comments.

My opinion, which we know counts for nothing and will be totally biased ;)
I don't get the argument that it's acceptable in Uruguay, is he that naive ? I've never heard of any other South American, Spanish or Eastern Bloc player being accused of the same (the latter two parts of the world still suffer from racism on a grand scale)

Liverpool have made a rod for their own back with their statement "We find it extraordinary that Luis can be found guilty on the word of Patrice Evra alone" Suarez admits using a certain word so it's not Evra's word. Durr :cuckoo:

Liverpools entire role on this subject has been played out through the media when they were asked to keep quiet so I have no sympathy for the club.

Here we go again Heysel, Hillsborough, it's always someone else's fault :nono: as for King Kenny, I forgot what a tosser he is, far more blinkered than Fergie ever was, he has done nothing but moan about the treatment Liverpool have recieved from refs the FA etc etc since he came back into the game, STFU accept that your club is not this globally loved football club with a pristine history as scousers always try and convince anyone who'll listen.

Oh dear, not a remotely biased view then.

As for Hillsborough you think that was Liverpool's fault? :cuckoo:

NAF 21 December 2011 01:56 PM

Had to laugh at this apparent tweet from Ballotelli this morning :lol1:

"The FA are willing to ban someone based on one persons claim, with no video evidence? In that case, the whole ManU squad racially abused me"

The facts are that Evra also admitted calling Luis a "Sudaca". But I guess that's ok?

Noun
sudaca m and f (plural sudacas)

[edit]Usage notes
A Spanish colloquial term used most typically in Spain to denote people from Latin America in a derogatory or pejorative way. The term is associated with immigrants from Latin America with Amerindian physical features and who speak with accented Spanish of varied origins and is believed to have originated during the popular Movida madrileña (Madrid Movement) in the 1980s as a result of Latin American Immigration. Due to the rapid influx of Latin American immigrants to Spain from the early 1990s to present, the word has evolved into a common, yet highly offensive ethnic slur.

I guess it wouldn't have been had Suarez reported Evra.

Evra got off lightly, Suarez could have eaten him alive ;)

So it works on who cries to the FA (or should that be AF ;)) first? :D

:lol1:

FlightMan 21 December 2011 05:10 PM

FM in " I back Evra shocker"

Evra's got form here.

2006 Claims Steve Finnan racially abused him. Thrown out.
2008. Claims a Chelski groundsman racially abused him. Thrown out.

Now this. The guy is a prize wanker. Everyone knows it.

Terry will get a maximum of £2500 fine if convicted. The FA wont do anything as the courts have dealt with it. Gets them out of a hole they've dug.

So to sum up;
Call a player a black **** and it's a £2,500 fine.
Call a player negrito and it's £40,000 and 8 games.

Still as I said earlier in the thread, now is the time for Carroll to stand up and show what he's capable of. :luxhello:

Can't wait to see that ;).

How come fans making racist chants at palyers get banned from football grounds for life, yet players racially abusing players get a couple of weeks ban?

My post was aimed at Kenny and Luis' naivety, they guy lied to his manager and Kenny, sory Kenneth as he now likes to be known, was in so deep because he cant keep his thoughts to himself especially when the FA asked him too.

I'd agree Evra has form, so does Anfields new hero, do some research you slacker :lol1:

That's the problem here most LFC fans are right behind Kenny, blindly.

Funkii Munkii 21 December 2011 06:00 PM

If you look at the Terry incident the FA can't do anything until the CPS have finished with him for legal reasons, the CPS have said they will prosecute him for racial abuse, that is what their case was always about because it was an illegal act, they couldn't give a 5hit who he is or what he does, they recieved a complaint from a member of the public and they are acting on it as they would do if it was you or I.

Once the CPS have finished with him the FA will have their day and I wouldn't be surprised if he got a 12-15 match ban £100K fine and surely stripped of the England captaincy, the latter they should have done back in October if they wanted any shread of credibility, instead they allow him to play for his country.

I dont believe Suarez is being used as an example, I dont think 8 games is enough if you listen to all the "stamp out Racism in football" rhetoric we have rammed down our throats, 8 games is nothing and neither is the £40K.

This is going to get really really messy and LFC will drag the club through the courts, if he'd been honest from the off LFC could have saved themselves the embarrassment of their statement and the almost universal slaughtering their now getting for their reaction from the media, you know how the game works the media will not make this easy for LFC, potentially derailing your season and missing out on that Europa League spot, again.
