The wheels are awesome, dare I say they and the mirrors are possibly the only pukker WRC items on the car.

CREWJ 01 June 2011 06:23 PM

The engine spec is pretty good just not up to WRC standard.

oh yeah;

Wrc wheels have a different thread patten than a road car?

topman2180 01 June 2011 06:59 PM

Looks like someone is try to recoup the money they spent modding the car by dressing its up as something its not, clever marketing i think not.

CREWJ 01 June 2011 07:00 PM

According to the OP it was very clever marketing.

Proper qequential gearbox would cost more than £17K.

EH52WRX 01 June 2011 08:09 PM

Don't you mean sequential gearbox :wonder:

legb4rsk 01 June 2011 08:14 PM

Hmmm now does that mean they are not actually road legal?
I remember some for sale and it stated on the wheels (oz?) that they were not road legal wheels, just for rallying.

Tony:)

not realy, rason being its not a full prodrive car, its a prodrive built engine, but the car assembled else where.

good site to keep your eyes on, theres often some belters of cars on there, some very famous rally drivers cars have been up oin there from time and itsa good to oggle even if you cant afford lol

takes alot more than a few panels to increase the value that much.

EH52WRX 01 June 2011 08:40 PM

Ap's all round, Mag wheels, mirrors, bumper, ohlins all round. etc.

EH52WRX 01 June 2011 08:45 PM

How much did ABW sell there body kit non genuine bugeye/blobeye for.

EH52WRX 01 June 2011 08:48 PM

I do agree that the title needs to be changed. I will speak to Colin and see if he will change it. :thumb:

CREWJ 01 June 2011 08:52 PM

Given the modifications the price isn't that high, mods usually don't add value but these are some decent mods. Just the fact that it's claimed to be a WRC when it's actually not.

"never tracked or raced" and its from a motorsport type company.... Nice :thumb:

What was it used for then?

Do you know the origin of the front bumper?

dunx 01 June 2011 09:27 PM

Drew sold the ABW hawkeye to a guy for around £10K... but that was a 400 bhp car ( my old turbo ! )

Work out the cost of a good S202 in comparison, probably set you back 12k with less miles on, all the STI goodies etc and no dodgy body kit ;) the panels when fitted are worth nothing, doesnt matter how much they cost in the first place, mag wheels, I dont think they are actually road legal because they are motorsport wheels so different strength (not as strong but lighter than a road wheel), a standard jdm sti MY01 would pull in 6k on average, even with that sort of mileage, its seriously overpriced....

Tony:)

Your input is as expected Tony :wonder:
