You get the Extended Warranty? After all it is French, doesn't do Fridays, as a lie-in on most days of the week and smells of garlic :D

All French cars suffer with fcuking awful electrical systems, it seems Pepe still can't design or build decent electrics into his cars.

French cars are renowned for having phantom electrical gremlins (as in my 206 which went into the local dealer 4 times for faults and the fault was never diagnosed or repaired) and poor earthing.

With all due respect Merv, it was not a matter of if your engine was going to fail it was a matter of when.

Modifying any engine comes with risks especially a 12-13 year old engine, mine was 7 years old and I accepted there was a risk from the off, don't get me wrong I didn't like having to spend £XXXX but that's life and sh1t happens. :)

I was expecting it but not yet, especially when it was actually being de-tuned at the time! The head gaskets were only changed in October so it was just a waiting game from then :(

Sh1t happens and I completely understand the risks of modifying, just gonna come back bigger and better :)
