Simply awesome :notworthy :thumb:

What I like is that at 4400 RPM you have the same power that you had before at 7000 RPM, and at 2800 RPM you have the same power as an STI makes at its peak.
The stock tyres in the wet are simply atrocious, on a car like this half throttle in the wet can be scary although we do make the part throttle boost adjustable, most people like it fairly snappy. Surprisingly good in the snow though. |
It's the Nissan ultimate metal silver paint with a clear matte wrap over it.
I think the dealers made small margin on the car sale and so claw their margin back through servicing and parts. I use litchfields 12 month service was 300 odd, tyres are pricey again through Nissan but independents much more competitive. But like anyt.hinge you pay to play! The marketing campaign was very provocative but I guess it worked. Fact is this is a fast road car and not a track machine! It's too heavy! It can get a bit lively in the wet, especially with the Dunlop rubber on they just seem to want to plane. I suspect the driver wasn't fully accustomed to getting near the edge though as once you have been through it you can really get to grips with the dynamics of how the car interacts with throttle and steering input, once you find that confidence you can really push on! |

I know that, but all the talk about the GTR's track exploits when it was released and what I saw at the weekend just surprised me. Genuinely disappointed in its wet weather abilities (and the GT2 was on Cups, in the wet), but as I say -I could quite possibly live with one. |
No, they appeared to be swapping cars several times during the day.

Hey alloy, how is the OEM box and clutches gonna bear up with that power and are you aiming for 10's on the drag?

Think the GT2RS could be classed as being in the `Hypercar` zone when it comes to speed.
In particular totally scalping Porsche at the 'Ring (times Porsche themselves could not replicate). Publically saying they didn't want to beat the GT2 RS as it was a special and sent out the wrong message. I don't want to take anything away from some of its amazing performance results - but it has put itself on a high pedestal and must expect to be measured so. PS I am amazed at Zips experience in the GT2 RS as in one magazines wet handling test it was the second slowest car they had tried due to the tyres inability to cope with any dampness! The GTR must have been really bad then! ;) |
To be honest, I wasn't watching them on EVERY lap in EVERY corner all afternoon, but I shifted myself to various vantage points and was still surprised.
|
Yes totally agree very much a victim of it's own success, but still an absolute riot on the road! Beating Porsche round the rind though, priceless!! :D

Looks like he is pretty slow in the corners, either that or you're very fast.
|
