ROTFL!
New one on me

Very hot food is usually referred to as "Johnny Cash hot" by my cohorts - when asked why? "Ring of fire" chorus was sung (usually badly)

Pork? Odd choice!

Trout, I thought the same about the Pork but once you have tried it you will wonder why you've never used it before. It's probably the best part, it melts in your mouth.

I had some mad dog chilli sauce yesterday and it felt like I was crapping red hot razor blades his morning:freak3:

speedymonkey 30 December 2010 12:22 PM

After reading this thread I bought a can of it to try, as I too am a massive chilli lover with a range of sauces rated at over 600k Scovilles :norty:

Have to say when you buy stuff that says 'dynamite hot' or 'red' hot they never are, and I was very surprised to discover how hot it actually was :thumb:

Its defiantly the hottest thing I have eaten from a supermarket without having to spice it up myself, although as far as chilli goes it was poor, and consisted mainly of kidney beans :freak3:

Made a nice change for a company having the balls to make something with a proper kick to it :luxhello:

Good of you to mention it. Always handy to get the benefit of someone else's experience.

I just had some.

Yes it was quite spicy* but as a chilli it was very poor quality. I wouldn't have it again. Mostly sauce with a few beans.

* if you want really spicy go to Satay House, Paddington, and ask for Sambal Telur - it is not on the menu and even my hardened Asian friends struggle with the heat!!!! It is super tasty though :D

Milamber 04 May 2011 01:33 PM

I had some of this at the weekend. Like everyone else I wasn't expecting it to be very hot at all but OH MY GOD I've been doing the dance of the fiery ar5eholes ever since

Incredible heat from a pre-prepared meal in a can. Beware :lol1:

This stuff is evil :D It's the hottest thing in a can for sure. My problem is not the eating but the morning after.......... Jesus! It gets to the stage it's like a dry w**k, you get the feeling but nothing comes out! Pain is not the word!

Funkii Munkii 04 May 2011 05:13 PM

FPMSL at this thread, copied the link for Bad attitude I like the idea of Pork diced, I once had a poncey Chili in Chelsea and they used diced beef instead of minced and it was lovely, obviously been marinated for a few hours which made it all the nicer.

I will have to try the Stagg, just for the hell of it, it's a bit like licking a 9v battery as a kid, you've been told what it's like you've seen the other kids leaping about but you still do it, if ever there was a reason not to try the Stagg this thread is it but it must be done :D

J4CKO 04 May 2011 06:51 PM

Its not *that* hot, its perhaps a Focus RS in terms of heat, compared to a home made one, which would be some mad B4stard Cobra replica or an Ultima.

Milamber 04 May 2011 08:07 PM

I agree, but for a mass produced meal in a can it's incredible LOL

what would scooby do 06 May 2011 09:58 PM

erm.. I went out and bought some to try, it's not that hot actually.

Quite disappointing really. Has a nice kick but nowt special.

J4CKO 06 May 2011 10:12 PM

I don't think they could sell some of the stuff I go for, there probably isn't much of a market for Chilli that makes your eyes water when its cooking, never mind eating.

Maybe I got a taste for spice after following the Asian habit of eating raw chillies with my main meals ?

Talking of the burn during cooking, biggest mistake I made was to put dried chilli seeds in a open blender to then make a chilli powder :D

I sold that trick to the SAS for rapid clearance of enclosed areas..

J4cko,

Try my Chilli recipe posted on this thread, I guarantee you will love it. If you get some good quality bird eye chillis the flavour is amazing.

None of this packet/tin/jar nonsense

6.4 million scovilles. jesus wept. and so did I. my mouth was on fire for hours, and that was through a tiny, tiny amount. on reflection I should of used a lot less..
theres a 16.5 million scoville additive Ive got my eye on, although I don't think my sphincter would ever forgive me, let alone the missus who I neglected to inform about the added extra.. :D

16.5 million ? I thought the scale only went to 16 million - that being pure capsaicin.

stormyuklondon1 10 May 2011 02:52 PM

yep, should've read 16 million. not that 500k would make that much of a difference..
http://www.hotsauce.com/16-Million-P...rystals1.0.htm
gets well reviewed..
