The proximity sensors dont work,so when you phone someone the screen goes blank and the phone freezes. If you get an answering maching the only way of stopping the call is to take the battery out.

There is a firmware update to solve that

Maybe slightly off topic, but is there any way to password protect my photos / videos on my HTC Desire? I did download a Vault type app but it was pants.

Some good apps to have:

Advanced Task Killer,
aDyno,
Angry Birds,
Astro File Manager,
Free Tube,
Facebook,
Facebook Chat,
Jewels,
myPlayer (beeb player),
psx4droid (playstation emulator),
SNesoid (Super Nintendo emulator),
Titanium backup.

Also you can try a few custom ROMs if you like messing with your phone plus a good recovery image like Amon_RA with the PS Freedom Kernal loaded which lets you run unsigned code on a PS3.

www.xda-developers.com is a good site.
