Snap ! I'm running a TD05 18G on my WRX bugeye (Deadbolt from Andy Forrest)......I've removed the EGT sensor as it was not built to cope with the temps and airflow. I didn't want to have it break up and trash the turbo !!

They are brilliant turbos, whats yours running, i got 357.9 BHP with about the same torque :D
I think the next step for me is to remove the EGT sensor the same as you've done.

Just had Dynamix round and the problem is solved it was the neutral position switch. Something so simple that was causing me so much problem. I will be ordering 1 ASAP.

What a top guy he is. His a SUBARU GOD.

I'm running close on 400 BHP with my 18G......it has been ported and has RCMS work on the induction and exhaust :D

Plus a slug of methanol injection LOL Broke 2 WRX gearboxes in as many weeks........damn expensive to convert to the Sti 6 speed :(

martin.dean1981............do I get extra brownie points for suggesting NPS first :D

I'm not a clever clogs by any means, Duncan knows a shed load more than me :D .........just the usual Scoobynet banter and poking fun at myself and not you :)

In fact I'm trying to get Duncan to come and map my 2.5 bugeye conversion :)

Just need to try and sort out the split APS pipework.......if you thought you had problems LOL

Glad it's sorted

Sounds like the same issue with neutral position switch. Easy fix.

Where in the south west are you ? I am Bournemouth direction and could diagnose it for you but if you are down towards plymouth you could pop and see Martyn at engine tuner and he could confirm.

That is more or less exactly what's been happening to mine, no historic fault codes at all, even when light stays on permanently.

Just took delivery of a new NPS today and am going to get it fitted this week and see if it cures the problem. :)

Got mine here, good price and delivery was next day too.

Eventually got round to getting the NPS fitted on Saturday morning, no more flashing CEL when giving it the beans, seems to have completely cured the problem. :thumb:

hi im glad i found this thread as i am having the same problem! ive got a 2003 newage wrx and about 4 months after having a new lambda sensor fitted my management light started flashin and the car started to lose power. i took it to my local dealer and they came back with the fault codes
p0301 p0302 p0303 p3034 ( i guessin that was a typo and should be p0304) cylinders 1,2,3,4, they told me it was the precat up pipe causing gas flow restriction. so instead of payin them £900 quid to replace it i bought a cobra decat up pipe and pitted it myself this weekend only to find it has made no difference do u rekon it would be the nps on mine???

Old post this but how do you resolve the Net Pos switch issue?

New one, cleaning etc???

Where is the NPS?

New switch - get the right one from your local subaru dealer or subaru specialist that knows what year takes which one.

On wrx it is on the side of the box on the sti it is on the top of the box and needs the gearbox dropping down enough to get a spanner on it.
