Zip,

you might have actually done pretty well as the handling circuit was a power circuit compared to other years. I was hoping that when you turned up for a sprint it would be really tight and mean ;)

Cheers mate :D

Is there any video of it knocking around on t'web?

Moley 09 August 2010 07:51 PM

Not only did you do well Trout (with HUUUGE head!), you also have the only car that doesn't look pretty ridiculous!

Matt - success in cars for me has been as rare as rocking horse droppings - I am making the most of it ;)

Well done Trout. I must admit I wasn't that impressed till I read what bhp you were running compared to the others.

Interesting to see some of the top runners didn't have any aerodynamic (!?!?) bolt-ons.

Kudos to trout for such a result in the face of some stiff competition

Good God man!! It is a GT3.

The only electronic aids it has are air con and the radio.

Six speed manual box, no electronic aids, no traction control, pure RWD bliss! :D

I gotta say your time was impressive compared to the modified Evo.

But you know that already. ;)

Ive got some superb pics on the day, one with your car driving on the handling with the military plane in the background.

Would make a nice screen saver.

I'll get them uploaded soon.

Rob

If by any chance you have some of mine then please let me know

Well done Trout on the day and the day before :) Like you I'd hoped the track would have been more twisty and after my final run at 2pm I was 8th, but by the time qualifying was over I'd dropped to 12th, 0.05s off scoring a point!

Cant get over you beating two 2.35litre conversions
I guess being a very short circuit wasnt helping them

At Snetterton and most longer circuits a Porsche GT3 doesnt stand a chance against a 500bhp+ Scoob, I know as I've gone past all of them... - they are great out of the bends but never have the straight line 'power' speed

Still I could tell from the BMW driving you've had a LOT of lessons. I need to get booked in on some Don Palmer driving days! as he really showed me how to drive my Scoob

Cheeky sod!

I had one day with Don Palmer four years ago and one day with Andy McKenna in the GT3 about a month ago ;) :p

Glad the training is showing up in the driving :D

ALi-B 14 August 2010 02:05 PM

And there was me thinking scoobies were "better in the twisties" ;) :D
