baser999 23 July 2010 09:22 PM

He even retained his anonimity during the trail by giving evidence by way of video link. won't be long though before word gets out as to who he is

A caution for drugs as well has come out this morning. *sigh*

Just out of interest - if vengeance is not on the agenda than why does it matter whether he keeps his anonymity or not?

Of course you could always read the thread from the start, if it isn't too much trouble that is:)

dpb 24 July 2010 09:24 AM

How has he kept his anonimity at all if we know its John Venables that committed the crime not someone else

Leslie 24 July 2010 09:41 AM

I reckon that someone who relies on child porn for his kicks, including with 2 year old children, is pretty far gone and likely to be beyond redemption.

Can't see him being safe to release into society.

Looks like a little jealousy, feeling left out perhaps...

mart360 24 July 2010 10:53 AM

There even saying now, another 250K could be spent, giving him another new identity FFS

I don't remember reading (and especially writing) a lot of 'slagging' just strong feeling, opinions and maybe a hint of 'spirited' banter:rolleyes:

Oh dear, a little touchy aren't we?

Just out of interest none of your posts had actually stuck in my mind so you are on safe ground :)

Hardly touchy really, maybe you're not so good at reading people as you think:). A lot of your posts and indeed threads have the exact same effect on me too, lucky coincidence perhaps?:) and yet you still bothered to reply to my posts;)

TTFN!:)

His initial release, was conditional -

Remaining away from certain areas of Mersyside - breached

He then went and committed drugs & child porn offenses,

given the original reason for his imprisonment, dosen't exactly do himself

any favors.

His new identity was part of the package to enable his to lead a relatively

safe and normal life on his rehabilitation / release.

As he breached the terms of his release, technically he forfeits the other

conditions as well (ie anonymity)

There is a far easier solution, that has been in place for some time and is

currently employed in Durham prison, and is being used by Ian Brady.

Its called, "lock them up for LIFE"

Would save the mess & cost that's happening now

Ian Brady was an adult when he killed.

To put a child through an adult court trial for 17 days, locked up for 10 years, new name, can't have a GF without revealing details of who he is (so no GF!), constant fear of being found out, it really is no suprise he is screwed up?

To say he doesn't do himself any favours, well, he doesn't think like you and I would. He will be messed up until the day he dies, and I dare say he will take his own life one day.

...and then we'll all be happy. Right?

Happy is not the right word but I wouldn't be weeping over his passing either.

The bottom line is that surely someone who has killed one child and gets his kicks from child pornography is not someone we want released at all with or without anonymity.

Yes it may be sad what has happened to him in life, but we have a responsibilty to society to protect its children and I am sorry if it bursts your wonderfuly do-gooding bubble, but I think society is best off with the likes of Venables locked up for the rest of their lives.

Some would say I am being narrow-minded but I, for one, would certainly not lose any sleep over it............

It might be normal in your household but not anyone elses:cuckoo:
stick to falling off crossers at least you seem good at that -perhaps all the impacts have affected your thinking-try to have a few more serious impacts in future:thumb: It might clear your head or it might be fatal-a win win situation all round

No wonder you're unpopular FFS!

The reason that most sane people feel so bad about this is that the Bulger killers didn't serve their time ... a few years in a young offenders whatever then they're out with a new identity. For such a crime (it's bad, look it up) they should NEVER have been let out let alone receive such a soft sentance. Grrrr

I feel the sarcasm may have been missed in part of one my earlier posts. Still, having people wanting me dead is a new low for SN surely :D

Oh come on, you love and crave the attention which is why you post like you do and surely having someone suggest your death may not be such a bad thing is just another badge of honour for you :D :D

davyboy 24 July 2010 08:20 PM

Now you come too mention it....pin it on for me :D

But it's an imotive subject, and I don't expect everyone to be able to discuss it.
