"Soldiers deserve soldiers sir" "1 against 17 what will you do" "Kill them all sir" i love it great film |
night of the living dead, bad taste, last man on earth....
|
Most John Hughes stuff is ace, can still watch it over and over again. The Star Wars trilogy is the same for me too, can't say the same for any of the new ones.
Aliens Directors cut is very cool and I remember Terminator being very, very good the first time around but it looks very dated now. |
home alone 1 & 2
the mask dumb and dumber kingpin just a couple of 90's comedies i enjoyed |
ok going properly old i've just been watching the race scenes from
The california kid. A 1974 Martin Sheen classic |
4737 Carling, sir... I'm the daddy 'round here.

the good the bad and the ugly.

Not quite sure what we mean by Old Skool here, but hands down the best movie of all time is The Godfather. End of argument!
Special mentions to Goodfellas, Blue Velvet and Bladerunner. In the chintzy but watchable corner you would have to put the Arnie classics, Commando, Terminator, Total Recal ('consider that a divorce' :D :D ) etc. Horror - even now The Exorcist is still quite powerful and the original Halloween with that creepy music. |
Scarface(80's version) is another favourate of mine
Platoon |
The Lavender Mob.
Classic British humour. Les :) |
the original italian job (cant believe no one has put this down yet)
carlitos way gladiator (big telly-surround sound, fookin brilliant) rocky 1,2,3,4............ come on, you know you want him to come back in the last round! terminator patriot games happy gilmore |
Uncle Buck
Santa Claus The Movie The Vanishing Beetlejuice Stephen King's 'IT' |
Leon
Pulp Fiction Aliens Scrooge (old Alistair Sim version) Star Wars |
Some Like it Hot
Way Out West The Ghost and Mrs Muir (makes me cry :() Life of Brian A Clockwork Orange Loads of other old black and white pictures. :D |

Red October  McTiernan made some superb films for a while. Predator and Die Hard were his too. Funny how they go off the boil :wonder:

yeah, i was going to put that but the "plot" was a bit lame imo, good car chases though. more inclined to say the same as LEE247, leon. had actually forgotten about this film but when seen it listed i thought straight away, "gotta watch that again"!
Thought the same when I saw Leon listed. I never think of it when picking my favourite films yet whenever I see it it goes straight to the top of my list. I'll have to fish it out of my collection and watch it again. |
