K30FOY 16 October 2009 12:04 PM

Fabulous, some money gone into that.

Spec'c'57 16 October 2009 12:16 PM

Still Fiddling with it then Chris. ;) Will it ever stop? Not had the Spec C for a few years and the WRC Tech R/Road day was just after the initial build. seems ages ago now. Oh and several cars for me.

Looks stunning and must be like a rocket now.

Good question, the original manifold sits on alloy tumblers and looks very messy, hence the Spec C manifold,Matt Clark cut off a lot of the lugs that were not needed and then had it powder coated along with the intercooler pipe-work to get a nice new look finish,we are also changing the washer bottle for a Spec C version which is smaller and looks better.

John2.5RS 18 October 2009 07:43 PM

The Spec C manifold flows a little better too because of the TGV deletes, IIRC.

Great looking project you have going there, the cold air box is a great idea, may have to do something similar! :thumb:

awsome there is no better than rcm. everything they do is the best possible. ive seen this car in the flesh many times and its stunning. just wish we could all afford to have an rcm build. absolutely stunning wr1:thumb:

chunkb 19 October 2009 08:08 PM

Thanks for the nice comments lads,as I am 60 next birthday if I don't get these mods done now I never will,as for the mods RCM are always the ones we use, Matt and Olly are great guys very helpful and paying for the best has its advantages, as you only pay once,as soon as the fuel pump and Spec C washer bottle are fitted its Dave Rowe to map it and then just enjoy as we have gone just about as far as we can.

The Soldier on the left is my son-in-law.
She is in RCMs heated workshop.
The cleanest WR1 belongs to Clark at Polished Bliss.

The car handles very well,it has whiteline roll-bars front and rear, they have been powder coated as the whiteline paintwork is bad,Matt has also put rose jointed bushes in the front wishbones and we have STI track-rods and bottom ball joints to be fitted to complete things.

paulvtr 23 October 2009 05:49 PM

That's ! lucky grandson!

Silver Scooby Sport 23 October 2009 07:16 PM
