This is the last bit of evidence to prove I'm no longer spending all your taxes on cheap cider and drugs :lol1:

£474.20 after deductions - £1.40 N.I. :D (not a full months worth)

Lifes good and I may eat chinese takeaway tonight. :o

That is all :thumb:

Does this mean that you wull now pay back all that money I lent you? With the 78.9% interest on the original £50, you now owe me £4779.38 ;)

Self respect is worth more to your well being than a big bank balance mate. Hang in there... what life has planned for you next year if you keep working hard may amaze you!

davyboy 24 September 2009 08:24 AM

How can you be on 3.17? That's less than minumum wage?

When I said about the weekly wage I was serious......so I don't really understand!

Great news COB, congratulations and well done. Bet you feel good about that too.

Les :)

mamoon2 24 September 2009 12:15 PM

Well done mate.

I wonder if Matteeboy can resist coming back to post his wage slip up?

StickyMicky 24 September 2009 12:19 PM

How come you are under the min wage requirements ?

f1_fan 24 September 2009 12:34 PM

Nice one cob. You wear your heart on your sleeve in here somewhat and have been on the end of some pretty harsh treatment for it in the past, but fair play to you for keeping focused and getting that job and posting this thread must have felt sweet.

Ah yes, reminds me of the time I sent the new young lad for a long stand.... He came back with a 3 metre long steel stand :brickwall

Employers don't have to pay you while you are "trained". In fact you can be in "full-time" training and never earn a dime while you try to prove your worth :( Something a friend of mine has just found out to his cost. Some sh1tter of an employer kept dangling a really nicely paid job in front of him, only after working for 6 months for no pay they took on another trainee instead

NotoriousREV 24 September 2009 04:42 PM

Nice one COB, onwards and upwards.

I'm an apprenctice engineer, so I am entitled to an apprentice wage like anybody else, i.e. £50 a week or more dependant on employer. I started the apprenticeship the day before my 25th birthday so fall into the 16-24 group.

Unless you have some material which I can use to demand more money

Erm... yes it did actually. Shame being, some of the real "haters" (apologies for the Americanism) were quick to jump down my throat and send me abuse but yet when something goes right through hard graft they are nowhere to be seen. Leslie picked up on this in a previous thread some months back I believe. Thats the real sweet feeling.

davyboy 24 September 2009 05:33 PM

Fair play for learing a new skill!

Good luck.
