Re: Gearbox. There have been too many breakages on PPG cars with reasonable power to warrant the cost and then the potential addtional repair costs. Go six speed they are pretty much bullet proof unless you run big, big power and your gear changes are full throttle, clutchless brutal ones. No havent got launch control........found flat shifting between 1st to 2nd has helped my times reduce over the year. Also find the antilag function helps also.......seems to prevent bogging down as much on launch. |

Yes.... 3 gear changes to 60...and 5 for the quarter mile...lol.
The gearbox is the next major modification on the car.......dont really know which way to go....PPG or jap spec 6 speed with dccd..:wonder: I might just start collecting 5 speed ra boxes....:lol1: |
