what kind of boost are you running?
|
Boost is pinned at 1.70, dropping to 1.50, because I'm getting compressor surge. Not sure when I will get a chance to do anything about this.

what to get 400bhp?
Hi everybody,
i own an sti v3 v-limited and i'm running around 330bhp/330lbf with the following settup: Hydra ecu fully mapped, 95/98 ron map, antilag OEM vf23 440 injectors bosch fuel pump green air filter peak boost 1.45bar OEM intercooler Kakimoto full mega N1 exhaust cat back going to fil a sport cat i'd like to know if fitting a MD321H and remapping it again, with power/torque i'm going to achieve doing the turbo swap? thanks all :luxhello: |
You need bigger in injectors, FMI, decat, maybe a bigger air filter and new gearbox as yours will not last, come to think of it your be lucky if your block last?
Oh and then you will need £1600-1800 for a md321h and everything else you need o fit it? What power you will get? No one really knows? no 2 car's are the same? |

After the latest work (Hyperflow FMIC and Samco turbo inlet pipe):

lol i'm running this set up for almost 2 years without any problems, changing oil every 5000kms, diff and transmissions 20000kms, everything has been checked before doing the work mate, changed the clutch, flywheel. i've been told that the bloc is worth for about 500bhp and the gearbox as being an stiv3 one of the toughest around 450bhp, i know people with classic sti's running about this power with original transmission and diff with no prob.

500bhp on a v3 sti? Well good luck with it mate:thumb:
However, if i decide to go this power i know i'll rehaul all the engine and change a lot of parts. my next mod will be an sti v7 TMIC with bigger injectors to avoid any intake temp and fuelling issues. :norty: |

i had definitely decided on a 18g for my murtaya but now a HS380 seems equally as good not too bothered about getting 400bhp bit would like mid370's with early spool up and can always add methanol later lol
anyone got any opinions between 18g and HS380?? martin |
Looks to me like a very similar turbo from the Area 52 version we have had Martin, I suspect the 380 makes slightly more overall power though.
