Fergie wanted him as his right hand man as he wanted to leave Preston, but found the Lure of Goodison and a premiership side too strong. In my opinion In a season or so he will get offers from all over the world not just the premiership. He may stay and build even more, but as you say without Major money there will be a limit. Roy Hodgeson is another manager thats done well on a low budget this year

To be honest I can't see how people from outside england, never mind the city they support can hate a team as much as "Real" scousers hate real mancs... Stick to calling Cardiff scum and leave the hatred to the local lads!!
If you were a true Blue you'd hate Liverpool more...

Sorry for the irate rant lads, but when your so ungracious in defeat, doesn't help working in Liverpool at times i suppose :-)
. local radio stations backing Rafa (obviously) my phones red hot.. some funny ones actually. last one i heard was if it was the old point system we'd a won da league..

Deano I'm welsh Im from Swansea Im 31 years old and lived in swansea all my life! With that said it doesnt mean that Everton cant be my first team and that a local mersysider has anymore rights to hate/support his/her choice of team over me or anyone else if that makes any sence!
As long as your passionate about football and your choice of club thats all that matters so being local or not doesnt give you extra rights or come into it.:nono:

Its just one of those things for most teams to hate MAN UTD MORE THAN ANYOTHER CLUB IN EUROPE!
Hence me saying scum in relationton MAN UNITED just banta dude so dont take too much offence!:thumb:

To be honest I hate swansea city football club for my own PERSONAL reasons and would always support cardiff and wrexham or Rhyl or any other welsh team before swans once again for my own PERSONAL reasons, but thats another matter.

When you say UNGRACIOUS in defeat isnt that what alex furguson done when Everton outclassed you in that FA Cup match on penalties complaining about the pitch?
Hello Everton players did not complain did they? we played that pitch too iirc
As for being a true blue theres a **** in the united team who claimed true blue and at the first site of a quick buck he left us and joined united Wayne rooney was his name!
You can have your say mate but opinions are like arseholes everyone has one:cool:

I hate united above any team as its my preference to do so. I dont like liverpool much mainly cos they are our rivals, but should it come down to it I would rather liverpool above united Purley because they would be flying the flag for the mersyside teams.:thumb:

Im not intending on causing an argument mate in any way shape or form so its just banta as stated earlier.

ryan33hks 18 May 2009 11:05 PM

I don't see how people can care so much about a football team. My brother is a massive Cardiff City fan and its always fun to wind him up. He bites to it everytime:D

big daz2 18 May 2009 11:10 PM

i will bring up the wayne rooney rant i think imho that was the best move for the player not for money in the bank but for his football career as an ex player you always want to be the best play for the best and win the most and weather we as non man utd supporters like it or not they are the best and have proven it time and time again.but on that note sheffield wednesday beat them in the rumbalows cup final and i was there.

ScoobyNudge 18 May 2009 11:22 PM

Tbh guys Bill kenright is a legend draughting in david moyes, and the relationship between moyes and kenright is fantastic.

Everton youth has some quality players being nurtured and being tought in the right manneron and off the field although Everton doesnt spend much on players comapared to other clubs, being financially stable is more important to us.
This season we lost a few key players through injuries which has hurt us but a good team is one what knows it strengths and uses them to the teams advantages david moyes brings out the best in players by getting them to believe in themselves and to be proud of the role they do in relation to the club.

I give United their dues for winning every year but with the money they have anything less than that is a bad investment lests be honest its no longer a game of passion and skill its a business and about money nothing more nothing less!
I for one Never was a fan of bring in nevelle but after the commitemnt he has shown as captain this season I truely accept him as a toffee.

Through the last 10 years everton have had some hard times changing managers and buying bad players who didnt fit our style of football eg. daniel amokachi from nigeria fastest player in the league but give him the ball he would fall over.
another one was big duncan furguson excellent player but never spent much time playing through suspension and injury.
Best chance we threw away was when we bought Andre Kanchelchis from united and Anders Limpar from arsenal two of the best left and right midfielders in the league who know what we could have done if they stayed!

big daz2 18 May 2009 11:28 PM

youve still got one of the best players in the prem tim cahill he is proven class and never fails to impress

Lets just say Rafa must have bought a bag of real sour grapes, what a plonker.
Must be a challenge working in Liverpool but I bet the last few days have been sweet:king:

Lets not start the Cardiff, Swansea, Newport thing or all hell will let loose here:content:

A win in Rome and the season is peachy for us UTD fans with history being made:thumb:

Yes financially mate I totally agree!

As a player no I dont imo he still has a lot to learn and could have learnt a lot more on and off the pitch under moyes Its a lot easier when your in a team full of talented individuals (the best money can buy) but the real test is how you conduct yourself when your in a team that average and you feel the pressures and nurture your team responsibilties with your individual needs
as with most young proffesionals the promise of limelght and cash rates above being a true great in your own right!

look at lineka and southall both at top of their game and professionals on and off the pitch yet they had the money and glory.

The money would have always been there for rooney no matter what team he was in he just cashed in his consience early!

I remember sheffied wednesay mate back in the day when I had my pannini sticker book lol and swapping all the stickers in school the good ole days!:thumb:

Hope u all forgive me:notworthy

DEANO1969 19 May 2009 07:56 PM

None taken Nudge !!! :thumb:
Are you Mike Parry In Disguise!!

Little note about Rooney. "THE ****"
When United bought him they wanted to leave him there for another season.
But Newcastle came in and wanted him straight away. This forced united's hand... Unfortunatley for you ...BUT!!! where do you think your money come from the cahill's and artetta's of this world?
I know a doorman who grew up and is very friendly with the rooney family he told me he said he'd only leave Everton for United, coz he hated liverpool that much.:notworthy.
However its really funny to hear fans bickering when the players are swapping shirts and snogging on the pitch.....
