Target weight is 12.5 stone ;)

Seriously, I think I can get it down to roughly 1300kg without ruining it for the road and losing the daily driver aspect.

Adam Kindness 24 January 2009 09:46 AM

1300 and still 'sane'!! thats pretty good going!

Last weigh in the GTR was 1350kg or so... hoping for 1300, started off about1450kg. There is nothing left in the car...

Duncan, thought you might be interested in this, there's a bolt on way of getting 8 injectors on your car available from APS

Shall be watching this thread :thumb: Best of luck this year! :)

Cutting out the doors - no point sticking stuff over the top where a weight saving could be made...

Tim W 28 January 2009 10:15 PM

U-Pol weld through primer

Amusing

Was in Halfords earlier buying some U-pol 'Acid 8' Etch Primer for a few engine bits...

dynamix 28 January 2009 10:23 PM

Why is that amusing? :D

Tim W 28 January 2009 11:43 PM

Just that I use the same stuff ;)

Those are for side feed injectors....UK and JDM cars runs Top feeds.

So can you change from a top feed set up to a side feed setup?
And how?

dynamix 29 January 2009 04:15 PM

Thanks for that Tim - I had looked at it but it does seem like a huge overkill and very expensive. Effectively it would be almost £2k for that setup

Tim W 29 January 2009 05:36 PM

I thought they might be expensive, but not that expensive

My car is in pieces still, the engine came back from the workshop a week or so back and is in pieces in the dining room awaiting re-assembly (needed the block at 20 degrees C to torque things down properly).

Suspension wise I might have a crack at it this weekend and fit the softer springs I have and change the rack back to the stock UK one. If I'm in the right frame of mind

P20SPD 29 January 2009 06:12 PM

20 degrees C????????

Jesus Tim, get on with it and build the bu66er. I built my engine in the garage in March last year when it was barely above 5 degrees c, that survived a sh1t load more abuse than yours will for a long time.

Christ, you southeners dont half ponce about at times! ;) :D

sorry for off topic Duncan, car will look uber cool when its done. I have waited 4 months from my front wings, and still aint got them :)

Seeing this, makes me want to make the back end of the car wide again, after it took me months to get it out of my head!
