Perhaps you ought to read your own posts better, then?

WTF has the government done to justify taking out such a ridiculous profit from this product?
They are just riding on the oil producers backs.

Perhaps.
I would also like to apologise to the original poster for mistakenly believing his post was about OPEC oil pricing policy and the impression that OPEC thinks that the government was in some way profiteering by way of it's taxation policy in this matter.
I can now see that I was completely mistaken and that the OP's intention was that we should discuss the semantics of the various types of taxation the government has come up with over the years.
Don't forget to put the milk out Peter - oh and why don't you put those nits back so that you can pick them again on another occaision;)

You are wasting your time, cster, Pete is the worst type of blinkered Socialist.
His answerrs to posts ALWAYS JUST miss answering, he sort of answers a slightly different question to the one asked.
Would make a politician.

Even when you have him banged to rights, he just posts, "I will not argue with you, I won't change my mind".

Put him on "ignore" like so many have already done.

You must be kidding me!
Pedant Brant is an absolute SN legend.
I'd be more likely to put him on my "adore" list:luvlove:
