For those in the Macclesfield area, there will be a small convoy meeting at the Blacksmiths Arms car park (just before the Fina petrol station) on the Macc to Chelford road at 10:00am

See ya'll there

GSM21 19 January 2001 06:39 PM

yep Simon R we will be there.

Stef 19 January 2001 07:23 PM

With all due respect, the thieves know which hotels are used when events are on at Oulton Park, and this event has been widely publicised on this bbs for several weeks now.
I doubt naming the actual hotel increases the risk. I'd be happy to chip in some dosh for a guard though.

Stef.

johnfelstead 19 January 2001 07:39 PM

dont shoot the messenger m8. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif

Sorry stef, i dont agree, publishing exact info is doing nothing but increasing the risk.

harj 19 January 2001 07:42 PM

Oulton should be good fun as its the first time im going to be there, it shall be a learning experience so please excuse my driving if 20 Scoobs go past me at once http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif (YEAH RIGHT http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif) LOL

The more Passenger rides the better lads and Squizz's mrs, should be a fun day all round http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Regarding Security Guard, good idea im up for chipping in for a guard.

Type R 19 January 2001 08:15 PM

John u r right. I should know better. Thankx for chippin in guys, i will have a price of security by Monday.
Anybody wishing to store wheels etc let me know, as i will arrange for a secure room.

Squizz 20 January 2001 03:29 PM

Harj - I'll tell her you've got some new brakes, too. But I suspect she'll be trying to help you brake anyway, despite the lack of a pedal!!

Type R 20 January 2001 06:59 PM

I have just about sorted, manned security for the full duration of our stay.
I just need to confirm how many cars.

Thanks James

GSM21 21 January 2001 11:05 AM

How many of you are going out on track or is that the majority.

Type R 21 January 2001 01:26 PM

Me + 49 others i believe

CC 21 January 2001 03:10 PM

I'll do your security if u want as i live within walking distance of the hotel, of course i'd need full access to your cars, for reasons of access etc http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif lol http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif!

Seriously, i know the area well. It's not a haven for thiefs but cars have been stolen from the area http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif, and if lots of high value/performance cars were parked up together and seen by the opportunist... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif. The car parks are in view of the road/houses and most have CCTV but i'd still be wary.

Their is a large overnight car park next to the International Hotel, near to the 'Town Hall' in the centre of Chester. This is roofed and is manned 24hrs by security. It's about a 10 min walk from the Moat House. Failing that, park up where your car can be seen and heard, not in some little corner off the road.

You simply must sample the local pubs n clubs. I'd recommend Brannigans and Rosies which is my favourite haunt.
All the plebs are kept outside and you're guaranteed a large quota sexy ladies and a good laugh http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif. Arrive early or u wont get in and smart dress in required.

Simon R 21 January 2001 06:06 PM

Oh my word! Not a rosies regular http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif

harj 24 January 2001 09:13 AM
