The character of the girl concerned is neither here nor there. I would not know anyway since we have not been introduced! God forbid!

The real point is that those two double died pratts decided to make oafs of themselves and leave those obscene and offensive messages on Andrew Sach's phone and also did it in public on the radio. Sachs just does not deserve that kind of treatment especially since he is not responsible for his granddaughter's behaviour anyway. What they did was puerile and well beyond the grounds of public decency. Those who can't see that should put themselves in Sach's place and consider how they would like to find messages on their answerphone which were not only disgraceful but were also done in full public hearing on the radio!

I also consider Ross to be a waste of space as an entertainer, he is incapable of doing a show now without offensive or obscene remarks which all goes to show how poor his abilities are and how rubbishy his material is. he has a mouth like a sewer which is always the last resort of a poor entertainer and Brand is also going in the same direction. Pity really since he does possess some wit at least.

I hope they remain suspended and at least save us some of our licence money which is completely wasted on these two losers.

Les

Getcha now :thumb:

Was looking for the link between Brand sleeping with that bird. Also wasn't there a thing about her being underage or was that "poppycock"?

Think shes 23 now. But I wouldn't personally congratulate him on boning her if she was under 16 at the time "the act tooketh place" :lol1:

Nat 29 October 2008 01:17 PM

I think Ross or Brand had an underage girl due to appear on their show and confusuion has come from that.

scooby L 29 October 2008 01:18 PM

We need a few more "media sackings" to stop the now acceptable digging into people's personal life and thrusting it into the public domain under the standard banner of "it's in the public's interest to know"

r32 29 October 2008 01:20 PM

The issue is not what you thought about it, its not if you thought it funny or unfunny, its the fact that an innocent old man was hounded and distressed by what they did, I understand that they could both be prosecuted.

I also think that those on this post who have made comments about the youg lady's character should retract them. As I bet none of those people have any evidence to support their claims and have never met the young lady. I also think that these unwarented comments put Scoobynet in a position that could result in legal action.

I make no comment on what I think should or shouldnt happen to the two people in question, or as to whether it was comical or not.

But would you like to hear similar comments as are printed on this forum about your wife, daughter or grand daughter from people who dont know them and have never met them? There's no doubting that they exceed what is decent or what is legal.

I was merely pointing out that I believed nat's comment was congratulating Mr Brand on succesfully "having sexual intercourse" with a minor :)

Hopefully that wasn't his intention?

That is Brand and Wossy in a wig is'nt it? :D

mart360 29 October 2008 01:30 PM

Ross and Brand have been suspended for there comments,

its a pity a few on here are throwing some inapropriate comments around about the young lady in question

just because she choses to to do what she does, dosent give you the right to brand (no pun intended) her a certain type of person

It wasnt too long ago the Brand said at a public function that he'd had sex with Rod Stewarts daughter. This turned out to be a total fabrication and he was forced by Stewart to publicly retract his claim and issue an apology.
Do you really believe this man?

Ray_li 29 October 2008 01:34 PM

only reason that brand is still about is because the bbc dont want rid of ross

J4CKO 29 October 2008 01:38 PM

I dont mind either of them, Ross does some good stuff, his film reviews are good, his Radio 2 programme is funny and entertaining, but he has this undercurrent of being creepy with female guests, ok flatery, but he gets too lewd with them, he did it with Liza Minelli, that made my toes curl.

Brand is pretty funny, they went over the top and need a wrist slapping.

I feel sorry for Andrew Sachs, nobody needs that at 78, but he was getting stick for not turning up, and the Grandaughter did actually shag Russell Brand, I think there is justified anger for Sachs but his grandaughter seems to be out for the publicity.

bugeyeandy 29 October 2008 01:39 PM

Would we miss them if they disappeared of the telly altogether - not me!
Only show I watch with Ross in was the Film 200* on BBC1, he was just as dull in that as Barry Norman used to be.
Brand may or may not be funny but he's one of those people I just took an instant dislike to so I don't watch or listen to anything hes on.

Definitely a storm in a teacup though, can we have some proper news please :)

mrtheedge2u2 29 October 2008 01:41 PM

I can not comment on the original phone conversation as I have not heard it... but Brands apologoy on his radio show was very funny!!!!!

'which is worse, insulting Manuel or ..... supporting the deaths of millions of people?'

hail-hail 29 October 2008 01:44 PM

You all seem to love Russell, so let's forget everyone, Russell Brand's Ponderland starts tonight on Channel 4 :D:D

wooooooooooooo hoooooooooooo

Seems like 99% of Scoobynet will be tuning in to this extravaganza.

That is a very unatural thing to say :freak3: Do you have probs when it comes to women? Judging you on your numerous 'agitated' posts in this thread, some might say you have issues.

NO OPINIONS ALLOWED ON SNET remember!

i think there are a lot of Daily Mail readers on here. SNET doesn't want them being upset or they'll all phone in and complain.
