Ha ha.. went in there a couple of times!!!! :D

I don't know how you pull out the times your doing if your genuinly not at those power levels from your car. i know you'll have a torque advantage over me, but all the same hats off to you and all that for some truly amazing times and awesome driving skills :notworthy

Congratulations to Terry Buckle (500bhp classic), he finished just infront of Mike and ofcourse a big well done to Kev Horsley (550bhp classic) with a jaw dropping 101.6 - that is Pro class territory!

Yep a 1.01.6 is awsome, would have been 5th or 6th in Pro!
Another amazingly committed drive Kev :thumb:

The result yesterday continue to highlight the need for a middle class, as clearly there are a few cars in club that are beyond the 'club' level but maybe not quite at the Pro RCM, Zen level (Also some in Pro, that maybe would be better suited to a 'tuner' class). Already the qualifying is split into 3 groups, so hopefully at some point the 'tuner' class mentioned earlier in the year will happen.

Pinseeker - Where's the Pictures?????

Come on Andy, you know the ones I mean :norty: :norty:

essexboy30 02 June 2008 06:32 PM

Well what can I say.... First and foremost has to be a massive thanks you to the crew that made getting to Sunday possible...

ZAK, LUKE, FRAYZ & NEIL :notworthy

Now all I have to say is YESSSSSSS!!! :D

I am truly happy with the result I achieved. I went thinking I stood no chance of qualifying for the final. Its a very fast circuit and suited to the big power guys... on top of that I had the worries in the back of my mind about having just had the engine rebuilt etc...

But I guess all that just disappeared the moment I went on track... The suspension changes and steering changes and the polybushes have mad the turn in on the car just awesome and the control is amazing... to the point that I had too much turn in...
hence after my second lap out I was drifting through the chicane having got the back turning round lovely... not necessarily the fastest way round but a bloody good feeling and great for the crowd!!!!
trouble was I got a bit carried way with this and ended up in the gravel twice during the day :lol1:
I also had foot to the floor pretty much full lock 5th gear drifts off the pit straight bend (speeds in excess of 90mph).. again not always the quickest but enjoyable and I guess its starting to show a lack of fear on my part and some control when I don't quite get things right (i.e. entry not right etc.).

my result for me when I look at the competition was just fantastic..
Might not sound great 11th... but out of 70 club class competitors (not all may have run on the day, but again that’s part of it all, being able to get the car there)....

I guess I’m not going to see a podium but I certainly surpassed my own goals fro yesterday, which is what it's all about!

here you go...slightly more grumpy this time (I think the shutter woke you:p), up and with the reason in the foreground :D

Sorry Kev if I mis-quoted, I understood you were running a GT35R which I would guestimate at 550bhp on a good set-up :wonder:

You weren't far off :) i just don't have the car mapped for top end power, plus i want the engine to last the season so not running it to it's full potential...just yet :D
