What are the widest tyres you could put on a Newage STi... 245 and 255 are gonna foul arches/suspension etc surely??

I am currently running the same rims, but in 18x8's and with 235x40x18's

Having "some" rubbing issues when the car is loaded, or when taking a dip in the road too quick. Looking at getting the rear arches rolled to solve the issue.

Otherwise, cracking rims

Have since fitted the centre caps too.

Duty? or seeing you're in Ireland do you not get that issue

Jempo 16 September 2008 05:36 PM

Hi scooby L Im living in northern ireland and didnt have to pay any duty on the wheels but have had to pay duty on other items ordered from japan maybe usa is different ,and WimprezaX is correct a 225 tyre is ok on a 9inch wheel even though it is stretched.

Cracking looking wheels mate, lovin it:notworthy

Ditto on the tyre size, looks a bit small. Saw a car with these on at the Mcrae gathering and they look even better in the flesh.

I know some people don't like it (and compromises handling), its a different look with the stretched rubber but i think it looks the nuts and shows the rims off more:thumb:

WimprezawrX 18 September 2008 10:07 PM

Needs a drop, i think :wonder:

SamUK 18 September 2008 10:14 PM

You're looking at a UK price of a tad under £2,000.

Now, if you've picked yourself up off the floor...

pnbond007 19 September 2008 09:23 PM

lovely looking car there.....a credit to you.

I want some real wide rubber on my Classic RA.....as wide as possible for that tarmac look

grey_uk 20 September 2008 06:55 PM

Those wheels look amazing but some how look larger than 18". :notworthy

Does anyone have any images of these on a hawkeye?
