Steve; Where your gt30r r makes1 bar is totally irrelevant. I dont run the same turbo.
All I changed was the tubular gt spec headers for ported o/e with matched uppipe so you are not making sense saying "I dont think the headers were your problem" Lots of people have found that good ported headers outperform tubular well over 400bhp on a 2 litre. Is your car 2 litre and what bhp. "Ported headers will always limit your cars power" Bollocks. Not up to 400 odd bhp on a 2litreas lots ofpeeps on here already know. |
also your gearbox aint gonna last long at that sort of power

"goodbye cruel world" ;) :D |
TBH I think tubular headers are a bit overkill for 350 BHP:confused:

Daz; Having had tubular headers and swapped them for ported with matched uppipe the difference was unbelievable. 1 bar in 4th @3150 instead of 3600. hat was the only change.
There are some bad designs out there but the GT spec 3 bolt headers with venturi uppipe are generally within 100-200 rpm of spool of ported headers and in some cases even generate spool up faster, in every case they generate their maximum power with a lower boost requirement which is easier on the engine. I would normally see 1 bar on a P1 around 3100 rpm on GT spec headers. Andy |

There is something severely wrong with your P1 if it only gets 1 bar at 3600rpm !
