cant tell when the cinc needs fuel. the fuel gauge has been at 1/4 for 35 miles:freak3:

when i go round some corners it goes to empty, then round others it goes to 1/2:lol1: :lol1:

wheelspin was something i missed from the scoob. thats fun. although ive not been over 3000revs in her yet. 6k redline, but i dunno if the engine would reach that:p

Andy, as crazy as this may sound, when it comes to selling it, work out what it owes you, and what it'd cost to tax insure etc for a year, then decide if it will save you more than that from running the scoob.... i bet you'd be in pocket, the best thing about having a run around is that you don;t panic when you leave the scoob on a car park, or at the station etc..... plus the added bonus is when you get in the scoob, you cack yourself for the first five minutes cos you forgot how quick it was...!!!!

Bug Eyed Peas 16 December 2007 07:50 PM

Maybe you could Mod it a bit Andy :norty:

exactly. That astra cost me 200 quid, another 40 to add it to my policy and 50 to fill the tank for a month. It has tax and mot till april next year and 4 good tyres so dont need anything like that. The subaru uses 120 quid a week just on fuel  so in the 2 months its been away ive made my money on it :thumb:

cant afford to insure tax run service etc etc. insurance would be about £6-700 alone. tax is another £110, sercives.... not sure. mot too.

oh and i dont have a garage so both would/currently are on the street.

besides i love driving the scoob everyday too much.

RON 17 December 2007 07:06 PM

That still only adds to about a grand a year Andy.... thats a mere £20 a week, i bet you could easily save that on fuel alone!!!!

I ran a Broom yellow Cinquecento Sporting from new. In 10 months and 18k nothing went wrong. 44mpg if you weld the accelerator to the (thin) carpet. £450 bargain. I took the wifes runaround in for tyres today and came away with £170 extra for an exhaust.....total spend £260....Enjoy it. Have you got used to the view from the rear view mirror yet? Felt like i was looking at something between the front seats when I first sar the heated window element in it.

Bought a Fiat. HTH ;) :D

Seriously it might be the spring is knackered or it might just have seized, can you lift it up and wiggle it about a bit? Waggling it around might help. Try some WD40 on the hinge too :)

At least that should take his mind off the faulty wiper :D

Scoobychick 20 December 2007 10:28 AM

Lol, it might get him arrested too, in fact I'd say the way his luck is going at the moment that there's no doubt he WILL get arrested :D
