I'd use Linux if only there were more Windows programs that just worked on it.

You can now run Windows on a Mac. Use OS X for everyday and switch to Vista/XP (or even Linux) if/when you need it. All bases covered :thumb:

There is no point in trying to convince the die hard windoze users on here that using a mac is a far more intuitive, easy, pleasant, bug free OS. It is like :brickwall . I should know using both OS for more years than I can remember, jesus I even remember OS2 warp :D

But hey, when any windows users needs help on a mac problem, we shall be gracious in our advice.

:D

A mac is pretty much a pc inside nowadays anyway. ;)

Have fun with your games... oh wait there aren't any of any worthy mention are there? :lol1:

Lets face it if macs (god forbid) had the market share over MS, then they would have the exact same issues Window OS's would. As virii/trojan/malware script kiddies would have found ways to exploit the mac OS's.

PLEASE PEOPLE. READ THE WARNING IN THE FIRST POST.

(someone else just fell for it, and is now spamming me with virus attempts)

Shark Man 10 December 2007 06:33 PM

Strangely: My version of Vista didn't come with MSN pre-installed.

Which is why it's not installed now :thumb:

**FURTHER INFORMATION UPDATE**

This virus sets up your machine as a "Bot mailer". This allows your computer to be remotely controlled to send messages through Outlook Express using your ISP's SMTP server. Large volumes of spam are attempted to be sent to millions of different people.

Your computer shows no visible signs of the process happening.

My ISP contacted me this morning. They were most displeased with the large volume of mail my machine sent within the 20 minute period of initial infection :lol1: I sorted my machine out quickly, but I know there are those of you who are still infected. Closing MSN has no effect in stopping this.

If you loose your net connection, you will know why. ISPs do not like junk mail servers running on their networks
