This will be my fourth Mencap the second with this excellent ESC crowd of loonies officially did meet some of them the second one but missed the evening fun due to work commitments.

A great weekend and in my opinion the best of the calender for friendship driving fun and laughter.
Also for supporting financially a great charity in Mencap.
If we have survived the special Friday night challenge from Mencap this year.
The Saturday starts off at a predetermined point and this time we are returning to the good old pace notes (must stress this is not a Rally competition) it is a pleasant drive approximately 80miles through some wonderful countryside and villages (we try not to upset to many of the natives) most are happy to see us. Also this year we are having a Lunch stop to regroup etc.
Even with pace notes we still manage to get it wrong, and hopefully via the odd farm yard (Ade) end up back at the Mencap collage were tea and scones are waiting and a auction and prize giving for those not staying for the evening Auction/prize giving fun.

We then trundle back to the hotel to refresh and change for the evenings entertainment which I believe again is going to be audience participation again, Scoobies against the rest (mad cow, land rover crew etc) so be prepared for rib hurting laughter and clowning around.

Then thanks to Flat Eric (Mark) we have a bus take us back to the hotel exhausted and looking forward to the next time. (also taking us)

I'm especially grateful to Simon57 for allowing me the opportunity to drive his Scooby (assuming it will be feeling better by then!!)...

...especially as I've just caused £6k's worth of damage to my M3 through a "minor" crash!
