If you didnt have a subaru...... I'd have a hell of alot more money AND more skin on my knuckles than at present :Whatever_

Seriously though,i'd get straight back in my BMW E36 M3 ! Best car i've ever owned for reliability, never really let me down in 3 years and it got some serious stick from me :nono:

love those old school hatches.

but saying that i only carried on with my driving lessonas as i bought my first scoob before i passed my test and wanted to drive it.

agree but would go for a cavi gsi 2000, really good all rounder. Had one a few yrs back and still kinda regret getting rid of.

dazzlers82 29 October 2007 11:43 PM

it would have to be a skyline gtr or a civic type r the old shape:thumb:

I swapped my scoob for a E39 530i Sport Champagne edition (basically, one with all the toys fitted).

Its only a short term runaround, but its already better on fuel and so much more comfy to drive, and I can chuck it around like its a car half its size/weight.

Although I need to get the geometry sorted as it understeers worse than the average Impreza - Lucky I have owned a e39 5-er before, so I know its not supposed to be like that ;)

I'm looking at something smaller and nippy for the long term though - Z4 coupe is on the cards, still a bit too much money though.

Have looked at a Clio v6, but still trying to get my head round it. As I doubt I could live with one as a daily driver.

Hard to imagine life without the scoob, but;

Real world: Audi RS4, Evo X

Fantasy world: Aston Martin DBS V12, Veyron.

Norman Dog 30 October 2007 08:18 AM

If I hadn't bought the Scoob it was going to be a CTR, 182 or an Astra SRi 200PS - Glad I didn't as the Scoob kills all three easily :norty:

I would still like a Celica 190 T Sport though...

mikey-r 30 October 2007 09:10 AM

Would have to be a 1973 911 RS lightweight 'ducktail' carrara - in white with red decals. Was on the lookout for a classic 911 in 1998, test drove one of these, awsome. Sorted the finance etc then came home from work one day to the Mrs: " you'd better sit down, I think I'm preg.....".:eek2:

The rest, as they say, is history! One day though, I'll have one.

Varboy 30 October 2007 06:26 PM

or an RS4 Avant (modded of course)
BMW M5 (E39)
Z3M

the list goes on...

Bladeboy 30 October 2007 06:44 PM

Apologies in advance but, it would be A BMW 330i Clubsport in blue, sorry, don't think I can stretch to an M3 yet.

danfranklin1 30 October 2007 06:51 PM

I'm quite ready to be flamed for saying this, but recently I'd be tempted by a MG260 (the rover 75 they shoehorned a 4.6 V8 into) - for the right price. It'd have to be cheap though, cos after all it is a Rover. I can't afford a Monaro, so I'd be looking at V8 power for as little cash as possible I think. There's no other Turbo cars I'm really taken with other than the Impreza - Evos are just too much hassle and expense for day to day running.

I actually sat next to a Zonda F at the lights today! A surreal experience to say the least.

The car I'd go for though is an S2000 with a big drift kit.
