Been with KM a couple of years now and have never experienced a problem getting hold of Gary for renewals,to declare additional mods on my policy or for general advice.

Cheap car insurance :: Keith Michaels this should help

Nate 29 September 2007 09:17 PM

Well, if Gary moves to another insurance company, A lot of business will probably follow him.

I give the number out to countless people, and I always tell people to be persistent, as the rewards are well worth it.

Gary beat a rival on a quote, and from what I was told, that third party complained to the underwriters(?) about his quote :lol1: + Gary did an excellent quote on our second car (well 4x4) and beat ASDA by £800 ish

My advice, keep trying ...... What you would 'accept' as a quote, Gary will prbably beat, and you could add another mod with the saving :norty: :D

cheers guys

navydog21@hotmail.com 30 September 2007 09:04 PM

cheers gary

And another one, sorted me out 1st time around and i'm now looking to getting back to the scoobs (classic of course!) one phone call got me through to gary 1st time and a very very good quote at the end of it, all i need now is a car to insure!

Thanks for that contribution Dog. I did put time into it, the first day the office was closed the second day I got through to Gary at 10 am and was told to expect a return call in an hour. 2pm came, I called again and was left on hold for about 5 minutes, called yet again and then got fed up and took the best quote I had from elsewhere.

I haven't the time or the inclination to spend all my time to simply get one 5 minute quote. Think I can bitch all I want given it wasn't costing you any time or money in getting insurance cover.

robby 01 October 2007 09:05 PM

well just got a call from Gary today and i've saved £36 - not a great amount but it was cheaper than all the others :)

Sonic' 02 October 2007 10:32 AM

How long does it typically take to get a response from doing an online quote ?

I did one yesterday and havent recieved any phone calls or emails regarding my quote

My experience (and this may not be typical:)) is that you won't get a response and when you ring them up they will not have any record of an on-line quote. You may then give all the details you gave on-line to someone and then still not hear anything.:(

Moley 02 October 2007 12:15 PM

The online quotes are not done by me, so not sure how long it'll take for someone to get in touch, but it should be within 24 hours.

The best way to contact me is on 0845 0138231 or 0208 6427868.

Gary, when you get a mo, if you could look at my PM this week I would appreciate it :).

the invisible dog 03 October 2007 04:18 PM

My first post on here and a thanks to Gary :thumb:
No problem getting through to him and couldn't fault him with the efforts he made
To comply a little with the title of this thread I am 50/50 as to whether to take on the policy but this is due entirely to my unfortunate recent claim history and KM only being able to quote fully comp' as a result
Still not too far off the TPFT that is my other choice tho'!
Gonna toss a coin later and see if there is still change left over for the car... :D

F1 CJE UK 13 October 2007 08:40 PM

he has always tryed to help me, in the end i had to go with a plan due to my age etc but will def give him a call in jan he seems like a good bloke.

kilo_4que 14 October 2007 01:00 PM

Wow a complaint against Gary. Every attempt I made contacting Gary was successful, he even contacted me two or three off his own back but sadly could not give me a quote in the end as my area is a listed area :(

Gary has anything improved for insuring cars from Bradford lol

after all the positive quotes on here i think your case is a one off. dont see anyone else moaning like you especially putting a post up to do it(3 calls is hardly effort)

I'm not the only one moaning, and 3 calls is plenty of effort when you need insurance and other people bother to answer or ring back when they say they will.

Moley 20 October 2007 01:23 PM

Thank you to everyone who is sticking up for me.

FWIW i can fully understand why Scoobynutta555 is frustrated, and i did apologise for not getting back to him. I do try to get back to everyone, but sometimes as you can appreciate i am very busy.

I have tried myself several times recently to get hold of a well known person on this forum for advise, and haven't had any response. The difference is i haven't started a thread to moan about him/them not getting back to me, as i understand they are in the same position as i am (very busy).

Have you tried 3 years running on getting through to this person? Do they also make money out of an 0845 number when you're on hold? You can understand why I have moaned. You're not the only person very busy as you've quite rightly pointed out.

Yes i have tried the person about 6 times in the last 5 months actually ;)

I think you'll find that 0845 numbers are charged at local rate, so it is actually cheaper for you to phone that number, and as far as i am aware we don't make anything out of it. Although i personally hate us having 0845 numbers, as i think it puts people off ringing us. I have bought this point up several times with my manager, but it is like talking to a brick wall :brickwall

Our 0208 6427868 number still works, so if anyone doesn't want to use the 0845 number they can use this one.

53 15 November 2007 06:32 PM

:thumb: I didn't have to do anything for my renewal this year. I got a nice phonecall from Gary quoting this years premium, to which I replied "yes please !". £75 cheaper to insure my modded MY06 STI than my modded 53WRX :luxhello:

Job Done :luxhello:

Will do :thumb:

If anyone has been trying to get hold of me over the last two weeks i apologise if i have been hard to get hold of, but as a few of you know i have been suffering quite badly from a case of food poisoning, so have been away for a few days, and have been taking a few mornings and afternoons off to visit the doctors.

Touch wood i seem to be ok now, so things should be back to normal, but i do have a little bit of a backlog at the moment.

Thanks

Gary :thumb:
