Talking to Webmaster today we need 25 people who would be prepared to buy a badge at £5-00 to say they belonged to the club on here, when we decide what to call it ....:wonder:

JDM Steve 11 September 2007 06:35 PM

just a thought of places to do the meets how about the buckle inn on the a64 just outside of bishopthorpe. they have a lot of lotus meets there.

or possibly the riverside farm too outside of rawcliffe. or whatabout the wetherby whaler near poppleton as thats a nice big carpark.

lots to choose from am sure i will think of more.

poppleton one would be good as means harrogate lot dont have miles to driver as its just off a59

girl-in-a-scoob 11 September 2007 06:37 PM

Some good ideas there Steve, although some members are from Scarborough & that area so is there anywhere more in the middle ???

JDM Steve 11 September 2007 06:49 PM

how about we do alternate locations for each meet choose 3 places one closer to scarboro / harrogate / leeds and me :)

which covers the outer ring road of york so it gives variety really.
as this may turn into a family meeting event too we need to look at public houses that cater for children too so the likes of wetherby whaler and riverside farm are ideal options as both have play areas.

kids get to knacker themselves out and us oldies get to chill (excuse the term sorry)

girl-in-a-scoob 11 September 2007 06:54 PM

Oldies :lol1:

I thought we'd actually have a lot more interest in this sort of group to be honest.

I mean as stated would like to cater for all ages.

And also gives a good chance to make some new friends and so on.

as a york area club this branches out all over yorkshire so not just based in one place giving us all a variety in the members and places we go to.

Come on everybody put your names down.

And if your nice enough claire will clean your car every so often too.

girl-in-a-scoob 11 September 2007 08:34 PM

maybe our first meet and run out should be to the Rally at Pickering 7th October...
