I take it you dont rate the tyres as being any good?

In all fairness I think they are ok, not that I push the car hard, mainly used to ferry the family around doing the weekly shopping trip etc.

The Brembos seem more then good enough though, and I think they look the part compared to standard classic brakes.

thats a fair comment baker.

i just dont see thr point in having excellent brembo stopping power with (sorry) cheap nasty budget tyres. bit like going out, buying some real nice clobber, just to sit in your local and get pissed. see what i mean.

nice looking rear end though, like the flaps:thumb:

I agree with what your saying, makes alot of sense.

When it comes time to replace the tyres I would look to get the best I could afford. I think if I were to take the car on a race circuit I would obviously see the limitations of the budget tyres.

Think when the tyres call it a day I would also fancy some new alloys! the list is endless!

Newbie

Scott Lowe is the best. Had two sets from him now, 1 on MY53 and also on MY06.
You will no doubt reverse over some kirb or hole that you can't see in your mirrors. Scot was tops and sent new bracket and washers etc for a fiver and the second time on MY06 new bracket for free. Top Bloke I owe him !!:notworthy

On the flap theme - anyone fitted some to a classic wagon? Pics and details handy. Not sure I want huge flaps - prefer something a little more subtle - any ideas what would suit mine?
