Just to clarify;

5 plug ECU will do 2001-2007 but not DBW.Includes Sti with VVT and WRX with TGV.

Plan is to start DBW ECU after 99-00 is released - so hopefully within next 2 months to project start.Would expect 3 month development.

Tony; a car would be very helpful.......

i have a simtek, its a great bit of kit. I recently got a copy of the mapping software and was wondering if any of you pro mappers can answer a few questions i have.

how do you set the boost target as i seem to have no boost maps at all is this normal ?
how does the second map intergrate with the first ? i know its offsets from the first main map, is it based on percentage or what ?
any tips on setting up the in gear boost control ?

thanks for any info

Thanks for your interest.

The 99/00 version is being done as we speak and we hope to have trial versions in about 5 weeks. I expect this one to be a top seller as the well know MAF problems on that age car are expensive to keep replacing and still as unceratin as ever.

We fitted 3 dodgy ones, one after another, about 3 months ago - straight from the box brand new and not working properly.

Start forming a queue guys.

david as soon as its released let me as i will be straight in there

cheers

Some customers have their own software and may need a little help in understanding what all the maps and tables do......

Don't worry, once you get the mapping sorted out, it will totally transform it back again :D

After sales is important, I've heard Steve has travelled hundreds of miles, just to help sort customer problems out !

Mark, That sounds like a rather low punch to me.

Pat also travels hundreds of miles to sort customer problems out, ditto Andy, Simon, Bob, et al

If you start changing things in your map you'll need a backup engine as well ;)

radave 24 August 2007 08:25 PM

simtek

its a good idea to save the map before you make any adjustments ,atleast you've then got something you can go back to .But the software is so well thought out that you wont have any problems finding your way around ,unlike some of the other manufactures
Dave

p1prodrive 24 August 2007 08:44 PM

easier to use than the datalogit for the apexi ?
