Anyway.. The only Audi i would own is an RS4.

Why buy an S3?... great fun!!

I used to own an old shape RS4, the new one doesnt appeal.

Now have a new shape S3 - lots better than the old shape S3 I used to have a few years ago. Pretty good fun and reminds me a little of a P1

If you like Audi's then good for you.

If you like them because they go a tenth of a second faster on snow than the next car then you are a tool.

I like the S3 because its 2 secs faster than the more powerful evo round the 2.7KM track. ;)

It was all a big mistake!

A certain member was abusing the system and got me banned, however as admin came aware of their mistake I got a full apology :D :thumb:

And they have subsequently made an even bigger howler by letting you back in :freak3: Can't wait for more of your Germanic referrenced threads and your abusive manner

Right, so they banned you, then apologised to you for their mistake then let you back in.

In the mean time, you had a life changing event: following a moment of reflection and you realised that you like winding up and insulting people and that this was not a good thing. You then changed your ways.

Two totally unrelated events :cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo:

Are you telling porky pies? It sounds like you got banned for being a tw@t, you then begged the mods claiming you would renounce your old and evil ways and they gave you one more chance...

Edited to say: whatever the case, to be fair you not been abusive since your return!!

BOBBY G 22 March 2007 11:38 AM

I am going to side with audilover on this one.

You all slag him off and say he has the blinkers on and is infatuated with the German brand.

There are a lot of hypocrites on this forum it seems. Some of you need to step back and have a good look at yourselves.

If the shoe was on the other foot, and it was a scoob that performed best in the snow, you lot would be creaming your pants over it for weeks!

Fact.

Does audishagger really deserve so much bl*ody attention?

Maybe. But they're not much cop in the dry.

Biased video.

Sportauto figures for 0-120MPH puts the CSL at 21.4, and the RS4 at 21.8. But then if you stripped out the RS4 it would crap all over the CSL ;)

Of course it's a biased video, any thing that doesn't show an Audi winning is biased.

I raced my 2.4 A6Q the other day against an Enzo, the Enzo won which is really strange. The Enzo must be modified or sommat, surely.

Dracoro: No point being rational or reasoning with AudiLover: he's an idiot who is out only to cause argument/wind people up with stupid comments. I think they call them "trolls". I call them "losers". He as banned recently but managed to beg the powers that be that he would stop being suck a c0ck

By the way he's never stepped into any form of Audi or BMW so has no credibility whatsoever. He drives a Volvo S40:lol1:

Best thing is to simply ignore him.

No, you get what you pay for :luxhello: :luxhello: :luxhello:

Buy a RS4 or S3 and celebrities will think your a celebrity :thumb:

Janspeed 27 March 2007 02:59 PM

In fact this quote form EVO, really sums up Audi and the RS6:

"On my last day with the car I treated it to a tank of Optimax, its favourite tipple, and decided to take the long way home for one final time. But as I drove through the back roads of Oxfordshire I remembered why I'd tended to stick to the main road; on challenging tarmac the RS6's Achilles' heel was cruelly exposed. Truth was, the big Audi never really impressed once you made the chassis work, soon running out of suspension travel on a typical British B-road as well as feeling a little loose, with none of the precision you get with a modern, ultra-stiff chassis. So, why is it that, even with the RS6, Audi can't make an involving drivers' car any more? A question I once put to Audi's charismatic head of vehicle dynamics, Jos van As. 'I'm an engineer, not a bloody magician,' was his witty retort."

Audi RS6 | Long Term Tests | Car Reviews | evo

Janspeed 27 March 2007 03:02 PM

Another paragraph:

"With a 4.2-litre twin-turbo V8 hanging out beyond the front wheels, it's no surprise that the RS6 is prone to understeer which, combined with typically feel-free Audi steering, means back roads aren't much fun. Turning off the stability control is a waste of time, as there's nothing to explore on the other side of the electronic safety net. A fact confirmed with Jonathan Palmer, on the way to a pub lunch one day, via a couple of laps of his Autodrome. And yet he loved the car - and so do I. It's the British-built engine that makes it so special, the burbling swell of power soon becoming addictive, and all wrapped up in such a beautifully engineered, user-friendly package, good enough for the likes of Nick Mason, Ross Brawn and Jay Kay to use as daily transport."

AudiLover 27 March 2007 03:47 PM

Gaylord,

With the exception of the RS4 and apparently now the S3, every single current Audi has crap steering, an inert chassis, and mismatched spring & damper rates.

Were they all designed by VW????

What he's saying is since nearly all Audi's use VW chassis, all Audi's are flawed! But then VW's Golf GTI have been noted for good handling as well, so what does he know!

Get your crap together mate!!! You are talking b0ll0cks!!

AllanB 28 March 2007 07:11 AM

Last cars I would ever buy, the most boring, disconnected driving experience I have ever experienced. I actually stopped on track at Bedford in the TT and asked the instructor to drive it back it was that horrible to drive and the S3 not much better. Yuk !

Also if you're going to drive a badge engineered Skoda I'd rather not pay through the nose for it.
