If your phone has a standard headphone socket then its easy.
If not, buy a cheap hands free kit and butcher it to put a jack plug on. Alternatively.. I have done this on orange to save messages foe extended periods... call your answerphone press 1 press 5 (forward it) type your own number # 1 # 1 It is then forwarded to yourself again as a new message. stay on the line and hit 2 to save the original (keeps it for 7 days) -v important- make sure you listen (or at least play the star of) the new message, otherwise it doesnt think it has sent. Do it once a month and it works fine and you can do this indefinitely :thumb: |

Its a long shot, but how about this:
Record Any Skype Call To MP3: Skylook Is Here - Robin Good's Latest News Call your mobile voicemail from your computer using Skype and then save the call into MP3 format and keep it forever if you want :) |

I had a almost simmilar situation. what i did was put the phone ear piece connector into the bottom of the mobile, (mine has a socket to take standard headphones) then got a 3.5m jack to jack.
stuck that into the line in on the pc. and used a program called "total recorder" to record the source. quality was excellent. Hope this helps Dax You could record it using windows mediaplayer or voice recorder and as Dax says the quality will be spot on - good luck:thumb: |
You can check your messages from a landline, I'm sure there must be more ways to record the message using a normal phone too.

Who is you provider? Quite often you can listen to voicemail online and download it as a *.wav file.
|
You could also try this:
GotVoice - Listen to your home and mobile phone voicemail on your computer - FREE! They email them to you as MP3s, although I've not tried them. |
I think it important that you do keep them Sara, I would certainly record them for a start in case of a problem before you find a way to download them. I am sorry I can'r help you there though.

Hi sarah..
i can understand why you would like to keep the msg's so try this. 1. Play the msg what is stored by your network provider and then record this on your mobile with the record call option (If your mobile can do this) Then this will now be on your phone. 2. Now transfer your saved/stored sounds to your computer via the software you got with your mobile. And that should work... It does on my phone... Jason... |
Been reading this and I am so glad that there is some real good advice out there to help you. I do hope it works for you. Some years ago I lost both my parents with in two years of each other. We all move on but your parents are kind of very special, its good to have those special things to remind you of all the love you had and still have. Let us know if it turns out to be successful.

Ask your telco, it may take time and they may charge you for the privilege, but they can certainly get you copies of the files, most likely as *.wav files.
Try one of the other methods first in case they balls-up copying the messages and delete them by mistake! |
Just a thought and this may have been said before as I have'nt read the whole thread.
Depending on your phone. 1.) Call your voicemail. 2.) Goto your voice recording option. 3.) Record the voicemail and save it to your mobile. 4.) Either connect your phone (with the software and cable provided) to your pc and download the files OR bluetooth them too someone elses phone and get them too download them. Just my 2p's worth. Hope you get it sorted. James |
