They'd have to change the 4500 mile services for me to seriously consider getting one. That deep red looks very nice.

2.5 ltr engine would have been nice too.

Deep Singh 11 January 2007 10:40 PM

Anybody ordered one? How different is the engine? Will it take years for the tuners to bw able to work on it?

Varboy 11 January 2007 10:54 PM

looks a bit too soft now

I like the current and past hard edged look

they are obviously trying to make it look less aggressive so it doesn't just appeal to us testosteroned males

ScoobyDoo555 12 January 2007 07:29 AM

the outside doesn't look too bad. However, the interior  LOL!!!!! :D

What a joke. That's bl00dy awful!!

hmmm

<off to stick my head back on after it fell off from laughing too much!>

Dan :D

scoobian 12 January 2007 08:16 AM

looks like refugee from a manga cartoon

Chris L 12 January 2007 10:25 AM

The day Subaru owners start laughing at the interiors of other cars.... ;)

Dark Blue Mark 12 January 2007 11:48 AM

I agree...

I think they will be setting a trend here - its just its very modern which some people cant handle, until they get used to it.

Better pic of the interior here. Looks far better than the current model, and far better than the Impreza joke of an interior. I quite like it. Like the seats too.

Hmm, what should I have? :)

Dark Blue Mark 12 January 2007 03:43 PM

They have flocked the dash, looks cool.

EddScott 12 January 2007 05:15 PM

So its going to have those seats is it?

Look a bit like Porsche RS seats.

I like it. Honda or not - least it might be reliable!

ScoobyDoo555 12 January 2007 07:30 PM

Sorry, that 2nd interior looks just as bad :D

Granted the Scooby wasn't the best interior (and they still aren't now) - except for the seats......

My German barge's interior is a nicer place to be though (IMHO ;) )

No doubt though, the Evo will still go like stink :)

The look is growing on me. I think a body colored surround on the nose might be better than dark grey, maybe just a shade darker than the body color, though that could look like a bad accident repair. At least it's not some fake chrome plastic, but no doubt someone will do that to one of their cars.

Deep Singh 13 January 2007 12:12 AM

The interior looks fantastic imho

Dark Blue Mark 13 January 2007 10:04 AM

Ok imagine they dressed the interior with leather and big plush bits, and fancy dials.

Not exactly fitting with the ethos of the car is it?? Not good weight saving.

Just go and buy a German car if thats what you want!

Some people cant be pleased.

ScoobyDoo555 13 January 2007 10:48 AM

of course, it's not surprising that an Evo owner would be whinging ;) only joking mate :)

You are right though - the whole leather interior wouldn't suit the car, but OMFG!!!, I actually like exterior, but imho, the interior should be as striking as the exterior. This isn't the case. Some design would be nice - looks like they ran out of budget!! :D

The caveat is that it might actually look quite nice in reality, but the pictures just don't do it justice.

Dan :)

martyrobertsdj 15 January 2007 12:17 AM

Well I like it!!

One thing is for sure...it will go, it will stop and it will handle with the best of em!!!! :norty:

ScoobyDoo555 15 January 2007 07:07 AM

too true

Must admit, thats a sticking point for me too.

Exterior looks a bit of a mish-mash, I notice they've gone for the 'gaping mouth' grill look like Audi and Peugeot which I'm not really keen on (except on the RS4 !). The interior looks a bit 'C-Beebies' for me from the pics but will probably look better in the flesh. I must be in a minority in that I don't have a problem with the Subaru's interior, I think its perfectly functional (albeit over 6 years old)

Daz187 15 January 2007 09:20 AM

Drove my m8's evo 9 (awesome) but it's very directed to one thing and not an every day car like i find with the scoob. But power and handling is amazing. If the new evo 10 is anything like the 9 or better i think i might get saving.

James L 15 January 2007 06:47 PM

The interior is a big improvement over the current jap cars.

Im sure that shape will be a grower. Lets be honest they all look awful (scoobs included) till you see the spec sheet.....then you get interested

couldnt agree more, i think evo x will be the best looking out of all scoobies and evos since my fave shape which is the subaru P1

fabiavrs 08 February 2007 11:29 AM

I rather like it!
