:thumb:what would be everbodies ideal impreza? not as in an already made marque of the model, but say like the best bits from all the models. like headlamps, wings, wheels front end, back end etc. surely subaru should take note from bbs' like these and pay theyre designers to come up with better than this. what about talking to the rally drivers, past and present. thats what the cars about, performance and handling. they have that well sorted imho, so lets get the styling a little more up there. il be honest i like the new look evo, but evos and imprezas are saloon cars, even the tyre r and 22b p1 2 door coupes were saloon shaped still.

god i ramble on a bit.

time for the pencils:)

people give me some ideas!!!:thumb:

Chocolate.....
Classic Lights, bonnet, wings, doors, skirts, bumpers, rear lights, roof, wheels, doors and anything else i forgot in classic shape also. Just needs a standard 400BHP engine and the impreza would win back its reputation.

I like those pics, the stickered up one looks awesome but needs a boot. The back is awful but as i say whack a boot on it it'd literally fly off the forecourt.

This is a picture of the same car used to photoshop this so called "new impreza".

http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k3...azdaaxcela.jpg

It is NOT the same picture, as it clearly taken from a different angle, BUT it is almost certainly the VERY SAME CAR, taken at roughly the same place at the very same motorshow.

The giveaway is the reflection, the Mazda MPV on the Mazda stand at the 2005 Tokyo motorshow is what is seen in the door. The MPV is raised up on a rotating stand with white boarder, this white boarder is clearly visible across the doors on both cars at the same height. The reflection of the car is differnet due to the differnent angle of the photo and the fact that the MPV was rotating so will be at a different angle too.

Other points to note are the door handles and the flat areas following the wheelarches are both identical. Also the way the crease on the front wing comes to an abrupt end on the photochoped car where the headlamp used to be, and the white squares of the ceiling are reflected on the bonnet ;) There's also a few other error with the rear of the car...especially the aparrant dent in the one corner :lol1:

I'll still keep gooling until I find the actual photo so I can lay this one to rest :)

Japanese Performance magazine January 2007 page 12......quote.."Subaru has revealed it will be very different to the fast but unrefined current model and will also be a five door hatchback. 'It will be a lot more sophisticated and grown up and targeted much more at the Golf GTI,' said a spokesmen for the UK importer.
The extrovert appearance of the current model will also be toned down. 'It won't have gold wheels and big spoilers,' the spokesmen added,, 'nor the hawk eye grille.' However, special editions with more sporty appointments are likely to follow.
Two separate design teams worked on the Impreza, one on the basic version, the other on the WRX.
Warwick based Prodrive, which prepares Subaru rally cars is rumoured to have worked on the WRX."

If it's true i like the thourght of prodrive working on the WRX.....Something like the P2 they came up with a few years ago may'be?

i was personally thinking along similar lines. something more based on the widened lines of the 22b. bit more beefy looking, and maybe 18"s as standard, lowered suspension, more menacing front end. strict lines, but the classics are defo the way forward, everything i tried with the newages earlier either looked like a peugeot, or a mazda... not good
