Bug Eyed Peas 22 December 2006 01:51 PM

What a complete plum the driver!! It sickens me people who do this are left to ride a pushbike, let alone drive an lgv. :brickwall
I hope the claim goes successfully, which judging by your photo it will.
Hopefully you`ll be back on the road very soon. :thumb:

He wouldn`t last 5 mins in our yard driving like that would he m8:eek:

mufcdamo 22 December 2006 05:35 PM

no it wasnt a mistake,it was an all mighty f*ck up and was completley avoidable if the drivers 2 brain cells had made contact for a split second:brickwall

because as you go forward when you get to almost full swing the trailer actually goes backwards at one point as the unit pulls around it at such an extreme angle,:wonder: as you say i cannot understand why he didnt try this manoeuvre a bit sooner as he has all them spaces to the right of your car to jack around on! as your picture clearly shows the angle of the cab and the trailer i would say he is a Crap driver he should have known his trailer would kick back! looks like the end of this year is going to be a bad one what with warren getting bumped in car park and now yours they say accidents happen in three`s i do hope the next smacs incident is not a fatality or similar?:nono:

All i can suggest Andy is that you have done the right thing taking photo evidence as it clearly shows what a f**k up he has made! i mean that is just embarrassing to say he has a lgv licence.:Suspicious as i say the trouble is nowadays the firms are employing cheap labour from other eastern European countries and these dickeds are fu**in our jobs up cos they come over and don`t give a toss about our regulations driving to many hours and not enough sleep hence the spate of crashes on our motorways today

i don`t want to go on too much but i heard a story the other week from a colleague where a pole had come to work at tescos depot near me and he was caught workin in the warehouse at night then in the day he was using his brother/cousins licence to drive lgvs for same tescos on Agency,
the only reason they found out was the soft tw*t hit a low bridge in kids grove on the way to a store with a high-sided trailer(knob) because he didnt know his heights (f**kin scary when you think about it really) no licence =no insurance! Tesco covered their arses f**kin quick i can tell you! but just shows what can happen in our EU friendly country(b***OCKS) to MR BLAIR and his cronies.

Andy i would also take measurements of yard etc. and be as detailed as poss when filling in claim form and state that at no time permission was given to U turn in your yard etc. and any signs you have depicting this as a public/car park area to AID IN THE CLAIM TO BE HONEST HE DOES`NT HAVE A LEG TO STAND ON THE PIC SAYS IT ALL! but just in case get as much info as you can even take a pic of point where he screwed around because by rights a truck driver should not have to scrub his tyres to turn around professionally that is just being fefiing lazy hence my suspicions on him being an experienced lgv driver? if you need any advice m8 forget all the windups b4 give me a shout and i will see if i can advise on anything you are unsure about! as this is just not funny!:thumb:

The jam roll wasn't based at Middlewich depot by any chance was he??

Sharkman, reversing an artic is a piece of p**s. I use to work for Tescos and some of their yards will test your ability!!!.

Martin-STI 23 December 2006 09:14 AM

I dont think you should HANG HIM !!!!!!

I think we should rip his heart out whilst he is alive and shove red hot pokers in his eyes at the same time :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

No, I'd shrug, get his insurance details and remind him that his trailer has a overhang behind the rear wheels (which he has already found out). Make a claim and get it sorted (and make sure NOT to let my insurer pressure me into using their "approved" repairer and make a hash of it - create a thread asking if you want the facts as to why).

S**t happens. Thats why we have 3rd party liability on our insurance.

Not as if the truck pushed the car through the building, now that would be worthy of a page of bitching.

Now, if some inept mother in a 4x4 scraped off your bumper in a supermarket then drove off as if nothing had happened, leaving you at a loss as they cowardly run off hoping nobody noticed. Now that would deserve a load of bitching.

scoobyverysoon 23 December 2006 10:15 PM

I see your point Shark man but people react in all sorts of ways - Me for example would go ape even if somebody dirtied my car let alone smash into it. Like you say it could of been much worse as the truck could of pushed it through the wall

End of the day Andy is expressing his feelings same as everybody else would.

51st state 23 December 2006 10:39 PM

shark man!

you would get smashed over the head with a baseball by scoobyverysoon if you spilt a cup of water on his car:lol1: :lol1: :lol1:
if you leant against it :wonder:
expect to asassinated:lol1: :lol1:

Shark Man 23 December 2006 11:31 PM

If it was a Zonda, and had to keep up the image of being well 'ard (skinhead mandatory, staffy optional) I might sympathise. :D

Andy has all the rights in the world to jump up and down, wave arms manically, mince, mouth off etc. Just the others making comments in this thread amuses me. Have they ever bumped a car in error? :wonder:

In the end it doesn't change the fact that his rear end is stuffed and need a claim on the driver's insurance. Ranting or not, the outcome is the same.

Andy S. 23 December 2006 11:40 PM

All I called him was a muppet!

called him stronger than that on Thursday morning! LOL

51st state 23 December 2006 11:47 PM

now the devils advocate is trying to wind up peolple :lol1:
have you got yourself a nice car on hire:wonder:

Shark Man 23 December 2006 11:51 PM

Andy, nothing wrong with your posts...it's just the comments that followed that made me laugh:

what a dickhead.

what a cock

Sorry mate it takes a lot for me to lose my rag but i would of dragged him out of his cab and kicked him from one end of the car park to the other

Absolute ****ing _ _ _ b to the truck driver.

your to good natured mate cos if the cock had done that to my car id have been locked up for GBH. All that feckin space and he still manages to t*at your car, feckin p*ick.

etc etc.

:lol1:
Wow, feel the love LOL :luvlove:
I'd like to meet these people and see if they are for real :lol1:

Not to foget fwdnutz jumping on the Polish driver conclusions. Not that I condone them, but...

It's not that its in a driver's job description to intentionally bash every car they see when performing manouvers, no matter how ill-thought out. Now is it? :)

They do seem a pleasent bunch with plenty of colourful words in their usual vocabulary :)
Pray tell, does this "free love" include wife/girlfriend swapping or is it purely an inter-member related thing? :D

Now I AM trying to wind people up. :D (which I wasn't before, I may add :) )
