Looks at the brakes.....they look 'special'

have you been in a 2.0 with loads of lag? or are you just listening to the wrong tuner? ive been in many 2.0 tuned by rcm 400, 400+ 500+ bhp inc my own, not a lot of lag there, one was a balistic classic which was no more "laggy" than mine, in the right hands a 2.0 is a very rapid car with minimum lag;)

Now theres an idea.:wonder: :wonder:

£19,100 + £1910 (EC tax) + £3677 (VAT) + £500 (Shipping) + £500 (agents + handling) = £25,687 before road tax, registration fee and the elusive model report. An awful lot more than 5 before getting one for free. Nice idea though.

[quote=tidgy]only a 2.0 though

It has to be so that Subaru can still enter a car in the FIA Group N class.

Definately looks better with the optional spoiler.

Because the JDM engine is twin Scroll and has many upgrades the classics don't!

And they have DCCD-A which is a revelation in terms of scooby handling!

Tidgy 08 November 2006 08:02 PM

less weight is worth more than more power ina a good drivers hands ;)

ahhh, didn't realise that group n regs needed it to be 2.0, cool thanks for info

Bat-Fink 08 November 2006 09:16 PM

Bloody hell stop going on about classics eh lads?

It's a bloody lovely car.

Tuts 08 November 2006 09:29 PM

scoobs have always been more about raw performance
I think people are missing the point. This isn't an sti type uk. This is a spec c ra-r. Much lighter, more powerful, different interior, brakes etc etc...

You won't get much rawer than this. To say all newages aren't raw is a bit of a generalisation.

I'd agree that the type uk are more refined than classics but this is a different beast.

I've got one of each, a Classic WRX ra, and also a new age JDM STi. And this is a simple fact the JDM STi is a far better car in all aspects than the classic. The body shell is so much stiffer which greatly improves handling and body control, and the engine has just so much more power and torque. And that's before you get to the brakes. I've got 6 pot AP's on my classic and anything less is hopeless.

It's a sad fact for classic owners, but it's a car that was designed 15 years ago now, and it shows compared to the latest models  . Your arguement could stand up against UK softened models in some areas, but never against a JDM.

And as for raw car, you won't get much rawer than a spec c -ra.

Sold, I'll take one.:notworthy
