I sould know this one as I have a blob eye and I recently bought a whole new set of bulbs for the dips, full beam and spots... :brickwall

I think the dips are H1 (check your cars manual) and the full beam are H3, but if you are going for the HID option on both beams you will need two sets of HID 'low beam'.

IMO you should only really get the HID's in your dips (how ofter do you drive with full beam on anyway?)

Yes you can... by hi-lo I'm guessing you mean bulbs that do low beam and high beem for Classics (H4)... those are the bi-xenon bulbs.

Follow the order instructions and request the H4 bi-xenon :thumb:

SteveCMY97 01 October 2006 11:13 AM

As stated these are quality products and anyone that orders wont be disappointed! Plus there is a 3 yr guarantee!!! :luxhello:

Just wanted to say thanks again and let you know I'm here checking on things!
AND THIS IS IMPORTANT - DO NOT follow the eBay link to make the purchase - that is simply there to provide references. Going through eBay includes some pretty hefty fees, so Genuine Auto can't offer this price off eBay purchases - make payments directly through Paypal providing the listed info.
Thanks!!:thumb:

Bully3176 01 October 2006 02:24 PM

has this offer got a closing date?

Full beam on a blob eye are not H3 they are 9005 (aka HB3) this is very different from H3.

I've got HID's on my car, they came from HID-on line two years ago for 3 times the price of this group buy. The deals on this group buy look astonishingly good but the people you are dealing with are not as switched on about Scoobies as some. By all means do the deal but be very sure you know what you want before ordering or there will be tears.

I'll order some on my return from the nurburgring, Will be early next week :thumb

:) We ALWAYS encourage that you check your owners manual for bulb sizes if you aren't sure!
The prices in this market have dropped drastically in the past couple of years, and the technology has only gotten better!!:)

Seriously thinking about these (H1 Blobeye). If you don't mind I'd like to hear the opinions of those who have ordered, with regards to fitment etc...;)

In some respects this seems too good an offer to be true..:)

Look forward to feedback and hopefully placing an order..:D

How do the Bi-Xenon switch between Low and High beam ?

Aztec Performance Ltd 03 October 2006 10:57 AM

I'll keep an eye on this to see how people get on with them.

Will also be interested to see the landed price after taxes.

GariYaRally 03 October 2006 01:29 PM

This is a little of the 'subaru' side of things..........

Am interested in the HID kit to fit a Toyota Landcruiser, 80 series.............. is this available??

Havent had a confirmation of dispatch as yet.

THanks
Paul

OK, here's the simple explanation - there is a mechanical part that switches the bulb from low to high :freak3: If you want the more technical answer, I can get it, I just never remember it off the top of my head...

Yes, I've seen orders from Toyota Landcruiser owners before - can you confirm for me the bulb size from your owner's manual?:)

FX02 04 October 2006 06:12 AM

I bought a set of these from this company about a year ago, and they are the best lights I've ever had on a car. At the price these are it's a steal.

I would be interested to hear any feedback from anyone who has the H4 Hi/lo kit, as to the Hi Beam quality.
