my scooby 3" straight throw exhaust, it turns heads miles away lol

Proby521 08 September 2006 10:18 PM

I built a Honda 'Blade powered Westie. Hmmm 4 carbs with a jumbo car sponge as a filter across all 4. A stainless race can. Sequential gearbox. Formula 1 car. Awesome. My scooby did sound nice though.

Proby.

chris666 08 September 2006 11:19 PM

sti-04!! 08 September 2006 11:56 PM

MY04 Sti with full Nur Spec R Exhuast. Fcuk me it was like being in heaven. Close 2nd was the GT3 & slightly behind was the TT225 with full remus twin zorst, when it came on boost (remap'd) it sounded like the dark side of middle earth. :D

Cheers

I owned a 2.8 & a 2.9 with a single turbo tt conversion. When i changed the induction & zorst on the 2.8 it sounded like an atomic bomb had just went off :luxhello:

Oh what fun i had :D

I destroyed the diff on the 2.8 so i temp repaired it ;) & sent it on its way :D Brilliant car though.

106 1.4 diesel. So sexy

SilverGC8 09 September 2006 09:23 AM

oh there's so many...

my scooby, of course.. (prodrive backbox.. love to scare people by either making it scream or bang.. :lol1: :lol1: )

Corvette C5R.. (OK, probably won't buy one... :( )

as someone else said.. Ferrari 430 (Challenge.. even better) with Tubi exhaust..

Ferrari Enzo.. doesn't sound like at car at all, that thing just SCREEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAMS!! and when they blip the throttle, it's more like a dog barking VERY loud than an Engine.. has no inertia at all, that thing..

Vanquish.. saw one in Zurich, drove past me.. heard it for the next 3 minutes even though he wasn't pushing it at all..

A friends Jaguar E-Type 4,2.. :notworthy

and many more..

John57 09 September 2006 09:39 AM

Who's laughing, I had one of them come howling past me like I was standing still back when I had my Mk1 Golf GTi:mad::) and howling was the word, it did sound

My XR4x4 was bought partly because of it's sound too:) and the difference between the two is, eleven years later I still own it:D

I had a less restrictive exhaust on my XR4x4, the sound was awesome - I still miss it........................

My Civic Type-R with AEM Cold Intake Kit.. Just love the Noise when it hits Vtec!

Gastro 12 September 2006 10:47 PM

Porsche 996 C4S with Porsche sports exhaust system...... any revs from 1500 upwards...... its awesome :)

My E30 M3 with the airbox and pipe sounds the dogs!!

But a car I bought for the sound was my old 325 sport about 12 years ago!! The straight six sounded ace.

+1

Sounded like some sort of laser blast had gone off at vtec changeover. I miss it :)

My current e36 323i auto sounds surprisingly good with a Dave.F kit.

Matteeboy 15 January 2007 09:01 AM

My Golf R32 sounded wicked, even as standard.

Diesel Astra not quite the same!

MadMark 15 January 2007 11:13 AM

My Golf VR6 2.8 - but I "gently" modified it for the right sound!
(RamAir foam "bucket" air filter - the largest available on the market, high lift shrick cams, shrick big valve cylinder head, enlarged throttle body, variable length inlet manifold, Remus full exhaust system, custom chip with rev limit increased to 7,400 rpm@)

It sounded like a TVR up to 4,000rpm (rumbly, deep and throaty induction snort) when the inlet manifold switched to it's "power" phase and opened all the short inlet tracts - when it produced an increasingly loud and strident six cylinder howl as it closed on the rev limiter ...... :D

SiDHEaD 15 January 2007 12:28 PM

The only car i've ever had that sounded good was my Scooby with full decat!

Jonto 15 January 2007 12:41 PM

Alfa Romeo SZ - 3.0 V6, 12v.........with stainless steel exhaust as full chat in a tunnel............sounded amazing.

The mk V R32 sounds very good, as does the fiat coupe 20v turbo.

LG John 15 January 2007 12:51 PM

Sidhead are you for real?! Standard for standard I'd say the S2000 sounds better than a scooby and decat+big can for decat+big can the S2000 is again miles ahead. I've currently got a full decat+HKS on my STI and, whilst nice, its not a patch on the Honda with T1-R single.

Sbradley 15 January 2007 01:16 PM

Alfasud 1.3 Ti :thumb:
Alfa 164 QV with a freer breathing exhaust/induction kit
Every Scoob I've ever had, apart from the Forester (company car - had to stay standard)
My current M5 - sounds nice as standard but seriously thinking about going down the H&S route...
