Great day , hi to Gazzer and P T M W ! unfortunatly i left at 4.30 and missed the Lotus spinning, as i had several good laps chasing him. Would like to say thanks to Pete, Stef, SIDC, for a excellent day hope to do it again (minus the rain).
Puff, as you came past me like a dragon out of hell, did you get it on video,

I was right behind Steve when the Exige spun and it certainly did go quickly once it decided to. I really thought that he had caught it at one stage. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

*nappy* time for me then as I had to decide which side he was going off and which side I should pass. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif

Glad to hear it's not too bad and big respect for Steve's pace in a RWD car in the wet. I will never forget our "who's going to brake last ?" encounter going into Paddock (thanks again Pete Croney) http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

A weekend event sounds excellent BTW even if I am in bl@@dy Southampton.

Can't really add anything to the above, however:

MEGA thanks to TYRES Northampton, never seen 2 blokes work so hard AND keep smiling despite Triiigaar going in there every 10 minutes http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Thanks to Stef & Pete for sorting the whole think, despite the last minute Brands change of heart!

Got home at 9:30pm in Leeds, knackered but happy!

Roll on the next Northern track session!

I came to Brands in Triggaaar's motor - and I can definitely say that he got pretty good value from Tyres Norhampton. Brakes, tyres, bushes - oh dear....

Gregh - nice to meet you.

Odd thing happened. I'm standing by the pitwall and watching the cars race by when a bloke comes and stands next to me. I don't think anything of it until I glance over a little while later and he is smiling at me. I smile back and look away again. Then a couple of minutes later I notice that he's smiling at me again. Turned out he thought I was someone else he'd met on Scoobynet.

Whoever you were mate - you were starting to worry me.

Puff,
Good to have finally met you. Should have really grabbed a ride from you, but forgot to ask. Did have teararse fun being passenger in the RB5 of Kim and Dom. Much fun!

Good to meet some of the 'usual suspects'

Have changed my mind about track days and will be doing one , though I think the black beast's brakes will need to be improved beforehand though.

Question for the wagon brigade that were there:

What mods you done to the wagons? (apart from added grass grass DocJoc http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif)

smashing day. Thanks to all who organised it, and put up with me.

Were you in the Gold session?

If so, the silver Sti? behind you at Clearways, may well have been me in my ever so humble ( http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif) WRX. Somebody certainly took to the grass and I must admit I dived up the inside cos I thought they might spin back across in front of me!!!

Triggaaar 30 October 2000 01:36 PM

Greg - I don't know what you mean.

Tyres of NH did help me a lot (as did Stef and DocJock) - thanks. In my defence your honour, it was fairly reasonable for me to expect the brake pads that came as part of the AP kit to actually fit properly. I'll remember to snigger when your brakes give you grief greg http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

It was, as said by everyone, a fantastic day. I even tried pointing forwards on one occasion. It wouldn't have been nearly as much fun if passengers weren't allowed - I hope the SIDC guys can convince all tracks that they should let us have passengers.

I thought the driving was excellent - so much better than trax (I only saw a couple of people passing on the wrong side).

Thanks again to all that helped organise the day.

Looking forward to the video.

Stuart Knight.

Yup, that was me! I only had 1 wheel in the grass (luckily) and was able to claw the car back (my mate got the whole thing on video!) and you were quite right to get round on the inside.
You were pushing me hard through the S's and I just overcooked it I suppose. Your traction was great; was you on slicks or something?

Neil.

Fair point Trig, let us know the outcome!

Puff,
Go ahead an post them, I'll just view the source and leech them for my site anyway http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Ah! did wonder what mods you had. Must get the beasts brakes sorted, then I *might* tinker with the engine
