Everyone that has asked for tickets has been sent them now. I lost count of the amount of times I got cramp in my hand whilst writing the bloody envelopes.

Hope you all enjoy the event.

The question is, how many of you lot are using the tickets to get into the event, and how many are doing this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/renault-world-...QQcmdZViewItem

I've asked the seller if these are the tickets that are free, to attend a free event. I can see how they're "very good value" if the other godknows how many tickets aren't costing anything. Even my paddock pass hasn't cost me anything lol

darlodge 24 August 2006 04:47 PM

I've noticed a few people on e-bay selling these tickets. I don't like it but what can we do? Apart from e-mailing the buyers telling them it’s a free event.

I don't like the fact that people are making money from the free tickets but its up to eBay to enforce, and they have better things to do. i.e counting all their lovely commission from the sales

See my post #20 - £10.50

dl

I don't know enough about how e-bay works but I did wonder if one could list the tickets at a BUY-IT-NOW price of £0 with free postage and just detail the Renault contact details in description. How could e-bay charge on a zero cost sale?? At least it would stuff the other sellers.......

Tony MY03WRX 25 August 2006 06:12 AM

Just found loads more for sale on FleaBay......is there any point reporting them or is it legal to sell something that is free (probably a silly question)......

I emailed the following rats, asking why they are attempting to rip people off and all I got back was abuse....funny that...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

I will be watching the above auctions and will email any bider to give them the low down.....

David Lock 25 August 2006 08:15 AM

On the tickets I have it clearly says that tickets are free in cap' letters so I don't know if that is what buyers will get. dl

darlodge 31 August 2006 11:17 PM

Well peeps, I still have a few left (by a few I mean about another 100 wallets :D) so if you one wants any sent out I will get it arranged.

I won't be at the event any more as the GF booked us a last minute holiday to Orlando £199 return each including all taxes :D

Anyway, hope you all have a bloody nice time and hope the weather holds out. The last time I was at Donny was for the MotoGP in 2005 and I was soaked, 9 hours in hard driving rain. Fun, NOT.

Ive never seen so many fat munters in one place!

magepaster 09 September 2006 10:56 PM

Thanks for the tickets. Cracking first day :thumb:

The only down side was getting my camera out to take a few pics only to find that my wife, (who had taken great care in ensuring that I have enough fully charged batteries for that day) had completely forgotten that digital cameras use memory cards to store said pics. :brickwall
So not one pic to remember the day by.
Still, there is always tomorrow :)

chrome 10 September 2006 03:38 PM

I was on the way there today with the kid and a mate to meet up with others when the 'bulletproof' audi broke down!
leaving us stranded and cheesed off for nearly 3hrs.

Dread to think what is wrong as the AA spent ages trying all kinds of checks/test both on sight and via OBD and found NOWT.

arse.
so tomorrow I will be spending the entire morning trying to organise somewhere to fix it and kciking off at RAC Warranty to cough up on my behalf!
grr

until then I'm going to sulk

Glad you peeps got there... After getting off the M1 at J24 we spent over 90mins to travel 1 mile!!! With at least another 2miles to the circuit we gave up and came home...

Think half the population of the UK were going...

91,000-and-something people turned up over the weekend...54,000ish of them today :) Another great day...the down side was trying to get off a field with most of the other 50,000 folk this evening :(

Meganes and Clios were brilliant entertainment :thumb:

MAC76 10 September 2006 09:07 PM
