but as it turns out mine doesn't belong here..

Going for the "out the factory" look.. Helps the car to maintain it's resale value.
My RB5 is totally original and probably worth more now than what I paid for it.

RB5Caterham 11 October 2006 03:05 PM

James didnt the 4-door STi have a larger rear spoiler than that or have you changed it? You car looked really good in that mag. :)

You can always switch back to that dodgy orange shade for resale purposes, are you sure its totally standard, my RB senses tell me thats a non-standard centre pipe :wonder: :lol1:

James Neill 11 October 2006 03:11 PM

You're correct. The STi 4 had a mid-level spolier. The STi 5 had a larger rear spolier still and the STi 6 had a large spolier too (but with a slight lip on the rear edge).

My car is an STi 6 but with a mid-level spolier. This was done before I got the car. I saw it as a good omen when I bought it as I wanted an STi 6 but prefered the "more discrete" mid-level spolier :)

Yeah, the pics looked good. The photographer was a real perfectionist and took him all day to take the shots.
