Hi

Im a newbie with a Vauxhall vx220 turbo. Looking for a Scooby type ra or p1, this one is really nice and fits my needs. What power and performance figures are we lookin at with this one?

SCOOBY R 28 November 2005 08:33 AM

Hi All, Still for sale at the mo. Mr GTiR, Ziggys, and Marctmarc555 PM me if you interseted would be happy to talk about the price.

The car hasent been rolled after the engine re-build with the porting and cams but it did do 320BHP when the Link ECU was put in it.

This isn't the right place to sell cars ... it's full of sharks looking to stitch you up!!

Such a nice car deserves to go for reasonable money. Stick her on Autotrader & keep dropping the price until people start taking notice. She'll sell to the first person that takes a look.

All the best.

TX.

[edit - poor spelling]

SCOOBY R 31 December 2005 01:46 PM

Cheers Terminator. I've got a few people in the pipework but its not the best time of year. Tried Autotrader but that was even worse (10 calls a day from carweb).

Terminator X 31 December 2005 05:50 PM

Fair comment ... if carweb etc call just tell them no thanks + not to call you back!

Give it a while + then put back on Autotrader. She'll sell eventually all good cars do. Could be worse, you could have a bog standard Vectra, Mondeo etc + you'd have no chance to make a sale cos there'd be a million others just like it ...

Best of luck + Happy New Year.

TX.

SCOOBY R 02 January 2006 05:39 PM

Lol well said TX

Cheers for the offer Mr Tee but thats way below what its worth. The engine rebuild and tweeking cost £4.5K along so I gotta get something a bit closer to £11.5K.

Happy new Year everyone

James

I have found wwwpistonheads.com a good way of selling cars and other items in the past. Look at the classifieds and you will see how drivers car oriented this site is.

Fulham71 04 January 2006 03:35 PM

Dark Blue Mark 07 January 2006 11:34 AM

Patience is all you need. If someone is looking for one they will buy it right away, its just there are very few buyers. For that reason, dont move on the price if you can, I feel dropping a bit wont make any difference really, dropping a LOT may sell it but patience is the best option....

MB (bought and sold a few scoobs ;))

SCOOBY R 14 January 2006 02:55 PM

Lo Gixerman

Hope you've been well. Yeah it is a shame to see her having to go but its gota happen. Thanks for the post

Thanks for the advice Mark, as you say at the mo it isnt the best time to sell a car with a small market

Price is still at £11.5K for any buyers who dont want to trail through the posts

Tasberley 14 January 2006 03:12 PM

nice type r.. just doesnt seem to be the right time right now

Luan Pra bang 14 January 2006 06:34 PM

At 11.5k I would have jsut becuase its a bargain but don't think I will sell my car in a hurry either.

mr tee's words might not have gone down to well but ive been viewing ebay and trader for a while now and these babies just aint going dunno why some say not right time market etc i say face the facts in all honesty this being a subaru forum the views will be different because we all kinda know what it means to spend money on the babies and have em up for sale it breaks our flipping hearts when interest isnt shown or ppl as said sharks wana offer sums of money that well might anger us or in real life make us start thinking,

you say sharks i say only time can tell if the market changes and as much as id like it to change for a fellow scoob lover the future somewhat seems dim but hope it all goes to plan for ya matey as this 1 got our sharon even more hotter than tasberlys :norty:
