My link is to pay $380 for the roof and waist spoilers so it's no use to you if you only want the waist one.

You could probably just make a payment of $180 to order@silviaparts.com on PayPal.

The guy at SilviaParts emailed me back the next day, I received a reply from him today saying that he had received my payment.

same here...

Benno 19 August 2005 04:45 PM

Just paid for mine :D
Got a email back from Francisco saying they have already ordered the spoilers and they should be there in 1-2 weeks, he will let us know when they arrive. I guess it should then be about 1 week shipping from the US if it's by air.

speedydaveb 27 August 2005 03:21 PM

Well, I've got my spoilers! :D
They are around at my folks' house though so I'll let you know what they are like when I see them tomorrow afternoon.

Benno 27 August 2005 05:38 PM

Geez that was quick!!! Hopefully mine will be here on Tuesday.

speedydaveb 29 August 2005 10:23 PM

Some pics, just to wet your appetite!

I'm pleased with them - apart from one small crack and a mark on the waist spoiler, nothing that can't easily be repaired. The holes line up perfectly and the quality of them is good.
The roof spoiler could be fun to fit though, I'll follow Benno's instructions. Will post some more pics when I get them sprayed.

Not this weekend. The son of the chap who did our wedding photos does spraying for a living so I was going to get some advice off him. I have to see his Dad in the next week or two.
I've got a compressor myself and sprayed a few cars in the past, though not sure about doing two pack. My mate has a face mask and compressor to drive it so I might do it myself, I'll see what the pro says.
Some time in September I should think.

scoobfan 30 August 2005 03:27 PM

Roof spoiler on ebay at present for £99.00

Rob :)

Benno hopes to get his sprayed and fitted by next week, so I think he'll win somehow!
Should have been better organised and spoke to someone before now and ordered the paint. Been busy 'tuning' though! ;)

coolio, look forward to seeing them...i have a nice tek3 ecu but am waiting for a date when Pat can remap it; no fun driving around off boost at the mo but better fuel economy ;)

Benno 31 August 2005 02:37 PM

OK, just dropped my waist spoiler off at the bodyshop, will be collecting it on Monday and hopefully fitting it same day, will post some pics as soon as it is done.

Apart from the roof and waist spoilers, I was going to colour code the side skirts and splash guards, and respray the bonnet (I dropped the plug from the mower on it and then someone sat on the bonnet scratching it and making the paint craze!), so I may be some time!

Dave
You may as well get a front lip spoiler and 22b bonnet vents while you've got the bodyshop booked out. Or are you going to have a go yourself? Could save yourself a small fortune, you could start on the side skirts and work your way up to the bonnet??

I've already got a STi front lip spoiler which I bought second hand in the right colour, not sure if I can justify the £80 for the 22b bonnet vents (D.R. Motorsport are the cheapest, this includes spraying), must remember to do the 'wedges' also after I made a mess of them scraping the orange off after someone from here said it just 'floats' off if left in thinners overnight - I had to scrape it with a screwdriver for about an hour to get them both done and they look well scratched now (but much better for being black!)

I'll probably do it myself as I'm too mean to pay anyone to do anything that I can do myself! If it all goes wrong, it can just get rubbed down again. It's a 5 year old car at the end of the day and I'll probably end up running it into the ground as I did with my old BMW. Other people will probably end up dinging it with their doors or scratching it, if it was a 100% job it would bother me too much if it happened. My mk1 escort mex turned out ok so I'll probably just take my time and go for the cheaper option.

Has anyone else bought these spoilers or is it just us three?

have been thinking about the 22b vents for a while but still am unsure...yeah looks like its just the three of us; BARGIN!!!

The only place you can get waist spoilers for under £400 :D:D:D:D:D

Benno 01 September 2005 08:35 AM

I'm surprised it is only the three of us, there was loads of interest on the other thread and these are much better products than we initially looked at.
