Reckless are a Bryan Adams Tribute band playing all the chart hits ranging from early 80's upto present day and, yes we do play "everything I do" because we have to, although it's alot heavier and there's a mutha of a guitar solo at the end.

Hope to see some of you there and I guarentee a good night out.

Si.

Just printed out the maps of how to get there, see you later on Si.

I'm bringing Rich with me (tall chap who used to have green R reg saloon, used to post on here as RichA) and possibly a couple of others.

It was a good gig Si, we all enjoyed ourselves.

Looking forward to the next meet, hopefully my car will be in one bit for then!

skoosh 08 August 2005 04:24 PM

Steve and Dave, thanx for travelling down for the gig on saturday and glad you all enjoyed it.......twas a good'un!

I have a few suggestions:

1) Let's have an evening weekday meet, perhaps at the Darlaston Inn on Tuesday, August 16th at 8pm. I've got gigs for the next 2 weekends and seeing as they are saturdays and I'm also working both days, I won't get to see much of the family. I also have some time booked soon in a recording studio to record a new demo cd, that will take ALL day. UNLESS, you all fancy going over to Elvaston Castle again ( fingers crossed 4 better weather;)). We can take the frisbee ;) and enjoy a good walk and possibly a picnic etc etc..............it's upto you lot really.

2) I propose that we start meeting with the Midlands scooby guys at Derby on the first sunday of every month (?).

3) I'm thinking of organising a day at Curborough sprint course, anybody up 4 this? Could be a laugh.

4) Does anybody fancy the Donnington event that BenGee mentioned?

C ya.

Si - yes, I'm REALLY in a Bryan Adams Tribute Band...................;)

reno 08 August 2005 06:21 PM

1) twas a cracking night on saturday. cheers Si.
2) yes will be a darly on the 16th
3) always up for laugh (specialy if involves thrashing round a safe inviroment  )
4) do fancy the donnington thing

5) god my head hurts

steve

was it spossed be bryan adams on saturday then?

LOL

speedydaveb 08 August 2005 07:21 PM

Darlaston Inn on Tuesday, August 16th at 8pm sounds good to me. Elvaston Castle sounds a bit far, plus I don't have any kids (or dogs) and my missus will be at aerobics so she won't be going!

I have a mate who lives in Derby and I quite often go up there on Saturday nights, so meeting with the Midlands scooby guys at Derby on the first sunday of every month sounds like a good idea to me. I'd just meet you there and cruise(!?) back with you.

Curborough sprint course sounds interesting, is this the one off the A38 that the ImprezaSport lot went to last week (can't believe they didn't tell us!). There are lots of rules and regulations, the 'road legal' bit sounds interesting, what about de-cats and non-e rated lights? Plus some people have small number plates on the front of their cars... ;)

Donnington event that BenGee mentioned could be interesting, haven't had time to read through the details enough for it to sink in!

dannytwo 08 August 2005 09:58 PM

Do you think the old forester will handle a track day:rolleyes: :)

See you later chaps

Any of you guys going to this on sunday?

SIDC Goes to the Rising Sun Sunday Show @ Nostell Priory, Wakefield

The SIDC are pleased to announce that we will be in attendance at the very first Rising Sun Sunday show.

Date:
Sunday 14th August 2005

Venue:
Nostell Priory, Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

Admittance:
£6 per person On the Day -- Under 14's Free.

£4 per person advance booking -- For advance tickets call 01226 270707

Details:

We currently have an allocation of a 30 car club stand (With provision to expand if needed). Having spoken to the organiser at JAPS it would seem that the show is going to be a good one in the excellent surroundings of Nostell Priory. It will be on similar lines to the JAPS show @ Thoresby.

What's On:

--- Show and Shine (Not SIDC)
--- Concours (Not SIDC)
--- Trades Stands
--- Car club displays
--- Prizes

Obviously it is a smaller club stand than normal so priority will be given to SIDC members.

If you would like to attend please put your name on the list in the main thread here

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=438176

I will have a list of names on the day, if your name is not on the list I will not allow you onto the club stand.

Is this meet going ahead still, or did we have it last Tuesday!? ;)

My car's off the road now, replacing the turbo (with another TD04) and getting the OEM headers ported. I could do arranging a lift if it is still going ahead.

I am a member of shenstone and district car club (who own curborough). My car was measured at 101db (catted d/p, tsl resonated quieter centre and 6" firestorm bb) by them and the limit on that day was 105db. Full decat you may be close tbh depending on bb.

Big scoob 15 August 2005 09:33 PM

dj219957 17 August 2005 08:35 AM

Great meet last night chaps. Enjoyed it. Yup them diesels are fast these days.
See you next time.

Andy

speedydaveb 17 August 2005 01:25 PM

Another good meet and thanks to Andy for giving me a lift. His car must be quicker than mine (at present ;)) unless Si was taking it easy (my benchmark). Assti's was unbelivable!

Looking forward to getting mine back on the road and seeing what it can do on the rollers, then a trackday when (or is that if) my new ARB is delivered and fitted.

skoosh 17 August 2005 07:22 PM

Dave, I don't think I went over 5500 rpm......no need really.....not even gonna try and keep up with ad........gotta get me an STi wagon.

SI.

ps: have you seen the post in "was it you" apparently 4 scoobs were seen driving under the radar through Meir tunnel or somat..........;)

assti 17 August 2005 07:39 PM

Good runout last night, Always enjoy these steady drives. Got a bit scary in the dark though.
Think my ears are still ringing, I never realised how loud they were. My mate really enjoyed himself he can't stop talking about it. Hopefully I'll have my exhaust sorted for next time need the extra power.

Last night you were on about going over to 'the dark side' - make your mind up why don't you! :)

Just found that quote I had for a P1 front splitter - £294.36+VAT, part number SACC6006 in case you are interested, that chap must have been well out of pocket when the front end of his P1 was nicked.
