Bob Im definatly up for this i need to get my lrc100 tested so if its faulty I can get it sent back, preferbly north london, if you can sort out a time and a place and how to pay a deposit (Paypal, no chex whatever) we can get the ball rolling.

If we cant get enough people what about a location between N.London and Coventry ?.

bluenosewrx 29 September 2004 12:24 PM

WOULD LOVE TO GET MINE TESTED.
problem is, i am in N'Yorks.
Coventry is to far.
maybe anyone else from this area to get it done???

Mac.

RayC 29 September 2004 01:25 PM

I doubt if we would get the people to do one in between as the furthest anyone inbetween would have to travel is a mere 50miles.

I thought it meant Price On Application :D

At least with deposits we know who will have a confirmed number.

Floyd 30 September 2004 07:05 PM

Do deposits Bob then people's intentions are clear.

pbee 30 September 2004 08:44 PM

sorry i meant if we couldnt get enough people to do both locations do one inbetween the two but i didnt think about people coming from further afield.

Floyd....hate to say you were right about removing the shield under the gearbox at the same time as undertray....didnt get around to it and it promptly removed itself at 1**mph ;)

Will make final arrangements for deposits etc over the weekend.

Bob

Floyd 02 October 2004 12:31 AM

Sorry to hear that Bob. IIRC a new one costs £40ish :( Mine detached itself with a spectacular shincter moving bang at 140MPH on the 'Ring. I tried to look for it on another lap but it had disappered...

F

Aztec Performance Ltd 02 October 2004 10:33 AM

Thats alright. Should have listened to ya (dont quote me on that ;) )

It needed to be removed anyway.

We need to confirm a N.London location. Somewhere long straight and safe with layby and somewhere to turn cars around.

I can suggest somewhere 20mins from N.London which would be ideal. (North Herts Nr Hatfield/Stevenage)

Any other suggestions?

£10 deposits now being taken (PM me for details). People joining us on the day will have to pay a Premium in order to keep the Group Test fair.

Location is good for me but not the date. Is this a definite for 17th Oct? If so I can't make it as the car will still be in bits.

Personally I'm flexible. But we need a confirmed date that agrees with most. Am open to suggestions.

not wanting to pi55 on any ones fire here
as i think no one of heres profiting why not hire this http://www.hss.com/Fae.asp?sysPage=w...K&sysLanguage=[BASE]&resetToGroup=YES
or for those people up north

sorry put laser in the search

Aztec Performance Ltd 04 October 2004 06:31 PM

£126+vat = £148.00

We've got 8 People who say they will attend, = £18.50

If a couple dont show 148/6 = £24.66

If someone wants to outlay the money for hire etc I would be happy with that.

Bob

pbee 04 October 2004 08:28 PM

I would prefer to pay someone who has done this testing before and has experience. I have hired things from hedge cutters to 40 tonne diggers before and the quality and usefulness of the kit you get from hire companies varies wildly, be a shame to get everyone together and the gun is not upto scratch.

This gun doesnt look like any that have been type approved for the police to use either.

Aztec Performance Ltd 06 October 2004 07:57 PM

Just to address the emails from people:

Hoppy: It not an offence to own a laser jamming device, nor is it an offence to have it on your car. It is however an offence to interfere with a police signal.

Houghton: No probs mate. Cant do much testing with your car in pieces!

Pbee: The quality isn't what is the problem as the guns advertised on that hire link retails at £1000+. Our jammers should be able to jam all laser speed reading devices regardless of make etc.

Not received any deposits, so is it safe to assume that most people will be paying on the day (£35)?

Bob
