After the s**t I've had in the last 2 years I reckon I deserve a break. If nothing else this has restored a bit of self confidence.

Cheers guys.

The latest way of administering date rape drugs, I gather

You could take a leaf out of Derek & Clive's book (last track on Ad Nauseam)

"I met this girl from Amsterdam............."

yoza 23 September 2004 11:32 AM

I know several girls who use dating agencies, they use them for free midweek outings only, and have done for as long as I can remember.

They gather at the weekend for a girlie night in with a few bottles of wine, to give out scores for their dates, and basically exchange stories.

They have no intention of getting into relationships....

And a number of them have partners.

I dont want to put a downer on your new found happyness, but dont get suckered.

Good stuff Wheelman...

date everything you can get your hands on, dont get serious 'bout any of 'em for a good while...

Dapster 23 September 2004 12:47 PM

A mate of mine joined a dating agency and we all giggled at what a saddo he was. About 4 months and 20 dates later, he was a different man. He hadn't met "the one" but his confidence was like Robbie Williams after 40 cans of Red Bull. Watching him in action was an eye opener - consumate charm without the cheese.

Even if nothing happens in the near term, it'll do your confidence a world of good.

Get in there my son! :)

You shoudn't tar us all with the same brush. Girlie point of view here. I've been an online dater now for years and love it. I've had several very good dates and have made some fantastic friends (i've also had some bad dates but thats a whole other thread). You can meet some truly fantastic people and even if nothing comes of it, you've had a night out. I'm still looking for Mr Right, but even after 3 years i'm still hopeful. So just incase you are reading this Mr Right....stop hiding and contact me Thanks

Brun 23 September 2004 06:52 PM

Shouldn't that read Neds, coming from Essex?

Mr Scoob 23 September 2004 10:00 PM

Glad your date went well wheelman. I was supposed to be on a first date this evening with a woman I have been chatting to on the internet. Only trouble is she e-mailled me yesterday to say that she has met someone and does not want to date anyone else. Dumped before we had even met LOL!
